Hello fellow Norwich fans i have been away for a while and it`s all gone a little bit sour on here lately due to our precarious position , we are sitting in the bottom 3 with 8 points having scored just 6 and conceding 20 and not really playing well either.
This obviously divides opinions within our supporters as to whether we can carry on with Mr Hughton at the helm ,i have been a big fan of CH as when he arrived we became a team hard to beat and our best games last season were hard fought battling displays Arsenal & Man u stick in the mind.
We finished higher in the table than Lord Lambert managed and the players Hughton brought in are the best we have ever had in my opinion, other than a little flirt with relegation and almost a half season without a victory i was still 100% behind him.
However now we can`t defend and from an all out defend coach this is unacceptable ,as soon as the opposition score i feel as if we will lose and we do, i can understand that the Prem is a very tough league but the 11 zero last week was sickening.
A team is 4 0 down at half time so we take off our only striker who just recently made his debut ,why?
Yes most teams play 4 5 1 but it doesn`t work for us ,we are averaging nearly 1 goal every 2 games and concede at least 2 every game this is unacceptable .
Anyhoo to West Ham on Saturday live on TV , this is a must win for me or at least a must score, if we lose 4 3 then i will be upset but at least i can cheer a goal or 2 but if we fail to score on the 11th game then i will be calling for a replacement manager .

If we lose to West Ham, I don't think you'll need to call for a replacement manager. With the international break giving such a perfect opportunity, I wouldn't expect CH to survive beyond Sunday.

You could be very disappointed then. Unless its a demolition job CH won't be sacked whatever the result I don't think. May as well just support him and the team for now.

I'm not sure what I will feel, because, as I've said elsewhere, I don't like most of the names being bandied about, especially Pulis.

Yes, personally I think he's more or less doomed whatever happens:

    a) because I don't think he can win back a section of the fans
    b) we have been poor for the whole of 2013 and he doesn't seem to know what to do about it
    c) he is very limited and has reached the ceiling of his ability
    d) McNally is a tough cookie who will make hard decisions with a cool head

However, I won't rejoice, as you seem to think I will, because it puts the club into uncharted territory.

But I'm pretty sure it's going to happen anyway, so we may as well do it quickly.

Only an overwhelming thrashing of west ham will save him, McNasty will have the two week break already booked up for interviews.
If he's the hard line cookie we all suspect he is then a drab 1-0
win isn't going to cut it.

VC - Yes, your para 'b' is spot on and with the exception of the WBA game, we have only won games by one goal - on the plus side, Hull and Villa only beat us by the same margin!!!

Totally agree with para 'd' as well and we can certainly expect DM to do his darndest to find an adequate replacement. <cheers>

Some reports in the papers today that Malkay is being lined up. Not sure about how he will do if true.

I am not a fan of Hughtons tactics and when calling for change in threads that is what I simply want him to do. His lack of ability to tactically break down teams, combined with strange substitutions (IMO) has led to where we are now. I, like many other doubters, would have very much liked Hughton to have succeeded but his record is not good, however way you interpret stats. If he does stay I hope he does turn it around but I cannot see that happening. The issue with him staying is we have a divided fan base and that I suspect will impact on things with only Hughton the person who can change that, which so far he is not achieving.

He has not been helped by difficult fixtures and when you see our run in , if he is still in charge you cannot see any improvement happening. This middle third of the season is vital for our survival. A big decision now needs to be made stick or twist? It's a risk whatever happens. Keep him it will either work out or not. Sack him and get someone else in where it could work or not. Over to you Mr McNally.

I would say if we fail to score then he will be a goner, even if it finishes 0-0 and we get a point.

I think he'll survive a draw, particularly if we score and/or lead. A defeat with the crowd well and truly on his back will signal the end I think.

I'm not so sure a dour 0-0 with zero shots on target may well be enough for the crowd to turn.

    We won't score anyway!

I hope we do though I would love to see the players get a few, especially our strikers.

This makes excellent reading after the match. Nervy in the 1st half, but loved the 2nd!

Best thing for me was that three players whose confidence badly needed a goal were all on target today. I think collectively, as well as individually, that will be a major albatross off from around their necks <ok>
