The divide between the PL and Championship continues to grow, when it used to be Div 1,2,3,4 and before the days of Sky TV it was a lot closer. Look at us when we last got promoted to the top flight, we went up found our feet and one season later won the Championship. Take five teams; either half of Manchester, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool - Apart from those teams there will not be another winner of the PL within the next 15 years. Take those 5 and throw in the likes of Spurs maybe Newcastle and Everton and your top 8 teams are also sorted for the foreseeable future.
Ristac great points mate, and makes sense when you think that for years we've all been talking about the prem having 3 divisions, because it just has, and didn't some university geek come up with a formula for showing how many millions a team would need to spend to move from the 3rd division prem to the 2nd division of the prem and then multiply that by a factor of 14 to move from 2nd didvision prem to top 6 in the prem. Look how much spuds spent to get into it guaranteed (£121m in the summer) In other words, like you say its impossible for anyone outside a select group to win it. So the top 6 on paper have a 6/1 chance of winning it and Hull have 2,000/1 chance
Just a few points behind your lot - and after your new year slump, we will be right there with you Boggers!
You seem to have forgotten about your new year slump tommy didn't you go 8 months without a sat home win after xmas this year.? you will be right there in league 1. If we hadn't took pity and let you beat us you would be 10 months without a home sat league win. there's **** and then there's nillwall ****.
If you say so Tommy. Personally, I think with BMD now in charge and the club getting stronger, there's every chance we'll leave the much vaunted Millwall Express in our wake.
Pity It's a pity that your lot forgot how to make a game of it - half of them weren't up for it from the moment the first whistle went.....bottle went!
