Don't know why, just made sense to me. I really don't think we're going to take the league cup seriously (at this stage anyway) and in that case it would allow the League starting X1 to have an extra day's training with Poch. Nobody see where I'm coming from?
One of the joys of living in Dubai - you see every football game (premiership and cup) live on HD - weekdays and weekends. The downside this time of year is that I am 4 hours in front of UK - so midweek games, with work the following day, make it a bit of challenge!

Not the cup game, but just for info our League game against Sunderland is on BT Sport on January 18th.
We are only 4 games away from a place in Europe, hoping that MP chooses a strong side with propbably Osvaldo replacing Rickie and Yoshi replacing Jose
Are you joking..? please log in to view this image EDIT: Oh..! Hang on, you meant League Cup. Yep, fair enough.
Hello lads, hope all is well. Is anybody making the long trip north? Don't envy you but if any of you are planning to travel then you can access travel information through the Sunderland match thread over on my board. Including parking info. Or if you can't be arsed the Sat Nav post code is SR5 1SU. Enjoy the game fellas.
Davis; Chambers, Yoshida, Hooiveld, Fox; Cork, Davis; Isgrove, Ramirez, Guly/Lee; Osvaldo. Bench: Gazzaniga, Clyne, Fonte, Lallana, Rodriguez, Rowe, JWP.
I don't think we will see any of the 11 who started on Saturday for the cup game. It's a good excuse to give a few of our new promising youngsters a start!
It's a ridiculous distance to travel for a wednesday night. if you manage 1500 you should be bloody proud of yourselves. Both our geographical positions make away night matches very difficult but to play each other is a total nightmare for the away team. We've been drawn at home every round so we've been very lucky. Any of fellas got a link to your manager pre match comments? Had no luck finding any.
I suspect that Poch isn't too interested in this Cup Competition, Jesus Perez seems to be in charge for these games. At least he speaks English!
There was the usual charter aircraft in Eastleigh airport yesterday, so they will have flown to Newcastle Airport. There is no return flight shown for this evening, however they may be returning via Hurn due to the lateness of the return flight if there is one.
