    I'm not keen either.

I met my Mrs on bonfire night, so I do make a little effort! Usually a bottle of wine (or 4), some new underwear (costume) for her, and a night of dirty sex - ending in a big **** off bang.

I love it... they don't celebrate it in the us but I do with my wife and kids.

We get the BBQ grill out... cook dinner in that and afterwards throw little paper Guy Fawkes into the fire... no fireworks.

Sometimes we get different colour marshmallows... join them together with tooth picks to turn them into guys and roast them over the fire...

... I've made treacle toffee and toffee apples some years... but we normally have a pretty small celebration. Couple years back we went camping on the beach and had a guy Fawkes campfire.

Nothing too fancy... and no fireworks like there would be back home.

I hate fireworks. Got hit by one at a firework display when I was about 6. Still got the scar on the back of my neck.

Never sure if we're celebrating someone trying to blow up parliament... or that he got caught....

Either way get to play with fire.:D

Guy Fawkes - the only man to enter parliament with honest intentions.

As I'm reading some go off outside. I'v never been to a fireworks display. But standing out in the cold is not my thing.
