Everyone has their opinion, at the end of the season when we finish 10th to 12th I will not be disappointed as that is where average teams finish and that is what I consider us to be. Hunt and Varney should never put a Leeds shirt on again, they are not good enough. Smith scores if a pass is pin pointed to his head and he attracts us to hoof ball, he doesn't have the touch of a 16 year old youth player forget Van Basten and as for Murphy, I haven't seen the quality, I am starting to think it was a million quid wasted.
I think cos we spent a million on Murphy we expect great things. Being realistic, 1 million is not a lot in football terms. It is for us of course cos were basically skint. When you look at it, Murphy cost one eight of what we got for fab Delphi and both were league one players at the time of their transfers. More surprised that the manager brings in a player who looks no better than the other average central midfield players that we have when for the same money he could have brought in the likes of Burke and Rowe who I believe would have made a greater impact on the team in general. At least not as bad a mistake as swapping Morrison for a £2m rated Becchio or £750k Peltier and taking half a season to discover he aint ever going to be a left back. Warnock - great record before joining us and spending the majority of his budget on Peltier then discovering Byram was better. Transfer window comes and he swaps leading scorer for crocked player McDermott - Said to be a great scout for talent and spending our budget on Murphy when Mowatt looks better, sends out Morrison and brings in an equally unimpressive striker in Hunt. Certainly makes you wonder...

Maybe it's like the Hall thing. Fans think these guys are great buys cos they see highlights of a few brilliant flashes on YouTube or whatever. No one knows what these lads are like in the dressing room or training except the managers. Hence we sometimes can't understand some of their decisions. What sort of comment is that, how can you possibly prove this? Have they enquired about him, are they ready to make an offer, when we signed him only Wolves and Blackburn showed an interest at the time. So you are saying that his performances in a Leeds shirt have meant PL scouts have attended games to specifically watch him.
