Given some of whats been said on here and in the press it would have been nice to go out this week and tonk the opponents 3 or 4 nil to prove a point but away at Everton thats a very unlikely result for us at the best of times IMO. We kept Lukaku and Mirallas quiet though, which a lot of teams will fail to do this season, and although they had their periods of ascendency as any quality team will at home we weathered the storm. We could both have had a penalty but neither of us got it, thats football I guess. Not a bad result all considered in my opinion. The questions we have been asking of AVB's Spurs still remain largely unanswered however, Lennon looked utterly lost on the left though. I'm a fan of his but unless he's going to be deployed on the right then alternatives should be sought. Paulinho looked knackered by the end but with Capoue coming back soon then he should have the chance to get a rest, particularly in the midweek games. We were very good in the first half but again lacked that final cutting edge, Holtby put in a great shift today as always but Eriksen is probably a shade better creatively, Holtby is no slouch in that department of course and I can see why he was used today as his pressing and combative nature was causing Everton problems. I guess thats the coach's dilemma - do you sacrifice some creativity in exchange for more solidity away from home?
Yep. I do. I think Capoue, Paulinho, Eriksen and Soldado would fit well as a spine. Dembele has frustrated me more since I've seen him alongside Paulinho. Dembele - Sandro OR Paulhno - Capoue OR Paulino - Sandro or even Dembele - Capoue. I think would work. NOT Dembele and Paulinho OR Capoue and Sandro.
Chelsea lost at Goodison early in the season and West Brom are the only other side to take anything from there so far, as they also drew 0-0.
I though Lukaku was harshly treated, I think keepers get far too much protection. It was brave of Lloris but if you are going to keep football competitive, then there will be the odd kick in the head/broken limb etc. I don't think Lukaku went out to hurt Lloris, card was harsh.
Am I the only one that thinks Eriksen needs toughening up, like Modric did when he first arrived? I wonder if AVB has that kind of approach amongst his options.
Are you one of those who think the goons are top of the league before the season starts as it's done alphabetical order?
Well, a draw as I predicted. What's funny is if you wander round the forums as I do, how many 'football experts' predicted Lukaku would 'ruin' Dawson and Everton would beat us no problem. What's not so funny is a lot of these 'football experts' frequent games and bring their negativity and delusions to the match, spoiling it for real supporters. Oh BTW, well done Spurs a terrfic point in the circumstances and our excellent start to the season continues. We continue to outperform Everton, again you'd be hard-pressed to understand this from many a poster and Spurs 'supporter'. PS Hugo - Best keeper in the country

Haha! Sorry. Confusing. I was just agreeing with a previous post. Dembele and Paulihno are not my favourite midfield pairing. I think they are to similar to be really effective. (The post I was replying to actual made the point much better than mine. I was seriously over-typing! )
