Don't expect anything drastic. We have just moved back to 5/2 again. If Cardiff lose at home I would not expect that to change at all,it could even move out a tad because with Sunderland and Palace losing again the fight is to avoid 18th place. Also there is no sign of us being cut adrift.Early days.
Just some outside perspective here guys. You've already played Man City; Tottenham; Man Utd and Arsenal away aswell as Chelsea at home in your first 10 games. Lots of winnable games coming up over the next couple of months which I'm sure you can manage.
Southampton did exactly the same thing last season.Played all the big sides early on and got hammered then recovered.
Speaking personally, I'd be delighted if we could follow the Southampton model. Starting by locating another Pochettino type
We changed our manager when we were 4 games unbeaten and 14th in the League, not when we were getting battered every week.
I'm not advocating what was done by your board but it hasn't turned out bad.... Reading comprehensively turned over yesterday.
For the first time we move into third favourite spot. That 7-0 is going to more or less ensure that we remain with the worst GD relative to other relegation contenders, possibly all season long.We can only hope that one of the other candidates gets a drubbing but that may not happen so the odds will take into account that we will need the extra point. Palace remain 1/10 and Sunderland fall back to 3/5.Norwich have now pulled back to 9/4,the shortest odds since the start of the campaign.Cardiff's home win over Swans moves them out to 3/1. The other candidates are:Fulham 11/4,Hull 7/2,Stoke9/2 and West Ham,quite bizarrely in my view 10/1. Needless to say,a win on Saturday is imperative.
It's going to be a really dangerous time for a lot of teams! I still can't see you guys, Fulham, West Ham and Stoke going down. But, it has to be one of them because the rest of the teams in the division are too strong! So it's basically a massive mind ****! If I HAD to pick a bottom three, it would probably be: 18 - Stoke 19 - Sunderland 20 - Crystal Palace Palace and Sunderland for obvious reasons, but I just can't see Stoke scoring another bloody goal all season! (sarcasm), they are looking, boring, drab and uninterested, so they're my pick.
Great result for your lads Saturday,I enjoyed that! Like you I think Stoke look very poor, they must be to lose to us at home.
this maybe completely deluded, but i can't see both Hull and Cardiff staying up. there's a long way to go still
I think Hull and Cardiff have enough quality to stay up, if they avoid any injuries to key players that is. I'd go for: 18 - Fulham 19 - Sunderland 20 - Crystal Palace Unless Fulham get an amazing manager who turns things around.
yes i wasn't suggesting Hull would go down, more would be suprised if 2 promoted teams stayed up. a big win for cardiff yesterday though
How on earth can anyone say with any confidence at all that Hull and Cardiff will have enough and will be ok based on the first ten games of the season? Bonkers if you ask me, both teams could easily go on a run of 4/5 defeats in a row which would then put them right in the mix. Palace certainly look goners, but I think it would be entirely foolish to suggest anyone else is doomed yet (even Sunderland) or even safe (apart from the obvious big teams) at this very early stage of the season.
