I reckon it should, but I'm not sure if it makes a difference to the letter of the law, but by good fortune, Brady didn't make contact with your player, Cattermole certainly made a heavy contact with Elmo's ankle. I reckon Brady's and Cattermole's reputation's also had an influence as well as Cattermole running in with what looked to be clear bad intention.

As I side note, any news on your keeper's injury?

for those that dont have sky, goals on sunday, ben shepherd, kris kamara and tony adams were all in agreement, catts should have been a yellow and brady should have gone, no deffense of dossena

McShane was looking at the ball the whole time, any oppositional player should be challenging for that ball in that position.

Goals on Sunday missed the clip (shown on MOTD) where there's clear contact, but they're arguing against it being 'off the ground' so they're possibly not arguing against the reason for the red card.

Pleased your keeper's not seriously injured.

I'd agree Brady's challenge probably merited more than a yellow card.

I don't see how Elmo got Cattermole sent off. It's just a bizarre theory someone's brought up.

Dossena was shocking. Both his and Cattermole's challenges were made because you weren't getting anywhere near the ball in that 5 minute spell before half time.

Macca's challenge was a 50/50 challenge. I seriously doubt there was any malice intended. I hope Westwood's ok.

I've just watched the McShane challenge for the first time, and he went in like a bull in a china shop...Much worse than was portrayed on SSN yesterday by Merson, and in my opinion a red card..

Bullshit, it was a 50/50 ball that both committed to. McShane also got nudged by Cuellar into the keeper. It wasn't a yellow never mind a red.

Johnson's rolling didn't affect the ref's decision, Elmo (who managed to roll himself from about the halfway line to nearly the edge of the circle).

Dossena's challenge was awful and cowardly.

I could accept Cattermole's red card had Brady received the same punishment for an identical tackle, had he given Catts a yellow, just like he had given Brady a yellow it'd have been a completely different game. Oh well

Good luck to you too, I thought you guys would have gone down but you look solid enough to stop up, hopefully not at our expense

I'd been inclined to agree. I wouldn't have had too many complaints had Brady walked, Cattermole's was more dangerous but they were both terrible tackles.

However, those of you likening McShane's to any of those challenges (Poyet included) need to give your heads a shake.

You girls will think Lukaku should be hung for his challenge on Lloris now wont you, it was worse than McShane's effort to 'cut' your Keepers head off.

Exactly marra. These Hull fans are taking our issues with the ref as a personal insult. They're ****ing idiots fella, they don't realise that Hull are irrelevant as we'd take issue if these incidents were applied to any other opponent.

Soon all focus will be on the Saints game so they'll **** off and hound their next opponents.

    Just watched Gallagher on SSN.
On Catts, "There doesn't have to be contact for it to be a red. Just because the player doesn't leave his leg there to be broken!!!!"" He agreed with the ref.

On Brady "He was nearer the ball and I thought yellow." agreed with the ref.

So Catts going in with no contact with his feet down was red.

Brady going in like Bruce Lee and contacting with AJ was only a yellow as Brady was CLOSE to the ball, not contacted the ball was just close.

    Unfuckingbelievable!
