Is it too early to throw away my season ticket? Or are we expecting things to change?

Well maybe Mr Hughes can shame them into greater efforts now.

Waddo,I didn`t want him either but he still has to be given a fair chance. let`s be honest ,the players he`s brought in,Arnautovic,Pieters,Assaidi and Ireland haven`t done too badly, the rest of them are Pulis`s dross and it`s like trying to make a` silk purse out of a sows ear`. The trouble is we can`t offload any of them because nobody else wants them. That alone says something about the `quality` he`s trying to work with!!

Totally agree Joe mate that's why I'm giving him until January to sort it out. But I fear by then we may already be in the mire! Also remember 2 of the above players are only loan signings as well!

I don't think well have any problem hanging on to Assaidi and Ireland if we want them. Ireland was clearly out of favour a Villa, money could be a sticking point with Assaidi if he turns out to be really good, but Liverpool are flying, and unless something goes wrong, I can't see him getting in their squad, so we should be alright, unless we let other teams best us to it.
But we are I'm desperate need of a striker, and another RW/RWB, as we all know Walters isn't up to it. I still don't get why we didn't sign Diouf, with the money spent on Bony (12m), Osvaldo (16m), and a couple of others coming into the Prem, I think he is of a similar quality, and the quoted 7m would have been a decent deal.

What's sad is that not only on not606 but also on the Oatcake we are seeing the fans being once more divided. When Pulis went everyone pulled together again in anticipation of what might be from now on. Hughes was never wanted by a vast majority but accepted as he was the new Stoke gaffer. The guy has no where near enough passion for him to turn this around and to be honest he is seeming like he does not have a clue. I fail to see any change in the way we are playing to that what we were playing under Pulis with the exception we keep it a little longer and have a go away from home.
The crowd at the Brit is flat and it's lost that bearpit atmosphere. I just hope we still have our heads above water come January as i think unless a massive clear out is made and fresh young talent coming in we are doomed if not this season it will be next!

I remember we all said that we would happily get relegated aslong as we enjoyed the football and gave it a go?

I don't ever remember saying that Smithers mate! No way do I ever want us relegated. Agreed I was amongst the first to want Pulis gone as i saw he had no future at Stoke and was a coward and a bullshitter. I also think Hughes has no idea as well and will take us no where!

I think the general feeling was for anything other than Pulisball and if that took us down then so be it, no one would gladly see their team relegated but would except it as a price to pay if it made the team stronger in the long run.

Surely you dont think MH will stay with you if you get relegated do you?
    That really would be fooolish...

Have you learned nothing about his "wanting to manage a bigger club" syndrome yet?

Then we would get a new manager, the point was we all wanted rid of Pulis period. Your obsession with MH isn't healthy mate.

They learned the hard way.To be fair I was saying the same thing on the QPR board last year and getting much the same advice as he is off you.I have to say that as much as our lot are moaning about Hughton I am pretty sure that MH is the one Premiership manager nobody would swap him for.

I think alot of external people seem to think we wanted Hughes - far from it. There was a list of managers (some of who are still not working) that we wanted, but unfortunatly they either wouldnt come (because of the TP insurance policy (spend a 100 million so there is no money left and have a **** squad that nobody can work with)), or the board didnt want. I fail to see how the fans can be judged on a decission that wasnt theirs. We are simply trying to support the manager who has a very tough job on his hands - are we happy? Hell no, but werent under TP!

You seem to have been in much the same position with TP as we are with Hughton. The charge sheet looks remarkably similar, negative tactics, dour, hard to watch football and mediocre position in the table.(We will settle for mediocre) It's a classic frying pan/fire situation. The only debate is which is the frying pan and which the fire.I see what you are saying about who would take over but Hughes had the form for all to see.
