Seeing them both again, both were filth. Dossena's was far worse. Catterthugs was a red too though. They seem to focus on whether connected or not. Its the force and intent. Frustration at his own **** passing and went to maim someone. Poyet is a clown trying to defend but that's not really surprising given his history. Even Catterthug knew, he just headed straight off. Nothing to do with reputation, everything to do with a man who just can't help himself and has now seen red 7 times.

 

To be fair Brady should have gone as well though, don't know when that incident happened.

A mackem mate texted me this morning claiming Brady, Dossena and McShane were reds, Cattethugs was a yellow. Only a mackem. The McShane did make me laugh though. Catterthugs doesn't look so bad in slow mo, full tick its a cowardly dangerous tackle.

Watching them though, how did we contrive to lose a game to that shower of ****e? Going down. I'd prefer they get 17th for the derbies but there is no hope for them. We're not surefire to stay up mind, long way to go.

"The Dossena one is strange, I can sort of see what he was trying it do but instead of pulling out of the tackle he just carried on. Its a red card no questions but if you look at it at speed I don't actually think he meant to do what he did and it looks much worse than it actually was, ie it should have been a broken leg."

Sunderland are down. It's scandalous that we lost to them, they're a really poor side, terrible in fact. Their next 6 league games are:

Man City (h)
Stoke (a)
Villa (a)
Chelsea (h)
Spurs (h)
West Ham (a)

I doubt they'll get more than 1 point from those three home games and maybe 4 points at most from those three away games. It would give them 9 points from 16 games. Not a chance they're staying up.

It's simple really. SAFC raised their game and Pardew failed to get our players up for it.. on derby day all form goes out of the window.
He seems to really struggle to motivate on derby day.

 

Because we are unpredictable and have been all season, was saying this about Newcastle after we drew 2-2 with Liverpool.

 

Agree with you there mate, the frustrating thing with Cattermole is he seemed so disciplined against Newcastle and that probably helped them beat us. If they think McShane's was a red, dread to think what they thought of the Lukaku incident (which for me wasn't a booking).
