Sorry for just posting a link but saw this and thought it worth sharing. I really like what this bloke says and I think that finally, we have a manager who is tactically adept In Gus I trust. http://www.safc.com/news/team-news/2013/november/gp-reflects-on-defeat-at-hull
although we were in that position through our own fault I felt he made some positive changes.i also think IMO he knows what he is doing and what he wants.the sooner we realise his intentions the sooner we will move on.
I don't trust him at all & in my opinion he is just other yes man to the players. playing players like Bardsley, Cuellar, O'Shea, Larsson & Cattermole will get him the sack. clueless **** in my eyes.
Given that he has another 28 games to finish above Hull, Palace, Norwich, Fulham, Cardiff and Stoke, I am convinced we have that chance under Poyet. Bring on the Saints and a quarter final game in the cup.
I'm not so sure. A bardsley recall? I think he is a **** and should never play for us again Cuellar recalled - what a liability. Should be no where near the first team. O'shea ****ing hopeless. Has sold his soul to protect his image from the truth. Gus had to play players today due to the derby result. Hopefully he has realised that was not his best e 11 today despite what O'shea tells him. Tonight I am ****ing sick of safc players. They are a ****ing overpaid bunch of overpaid arseholes.
Gus Poyet is likely to be a very good manager at premier league level if he gets the time. The issue is if he gets the time with Sunderland. If your chairman thinks he has the right guy he has to stick with him, even if you go down..
The Southampton game will allow Poyet to test new players and formations. If he roles out the usual suspects in question then its likely that we will see the same old dross. Hopefully he has identified what the salient problems are from the last three games. IMO we were very poor at Hull before the OG and the sending off's which was unacceptable against a team with many Sunderland misfits. During one stage we couldn't get the ball and I would argue that was the catalyst for Cattermole's sending off. I still believe we can survive but stating the obvious we need to start soon performing consistently.
I've been a fanatical Sunderland supporter for 40 years, still am and always will be. These days I support the club, the shirt and the other supporters. I have no heroes anymore and don't give a shiny **** about any of the players. BTW, I think Poyet is a good manager who'll do well for us.
How many ****ing times are we gonna implode whilst the game is on a knifes edge! After a confidence boosting derby victory we end up producing this sort of **** and i feel we are back to square one! Newcastle react with a win against Chelsea! I honestly think we have the biggest bunch of ****ing idiots who mainly dont give a **** representing us and to be honest i am totally ****ing sick of them! Just cant seem to pick up any positive consistency and it doesnt matter who is in charge, we are going down! How anybody can stay positive after the start that we have had (a combination of ****ness, stupidity, gutlessness and a sprinkling of bad luck) is beyond me! It just seems that during every game if owt can go wrong....it does....and then it gets worse....then even worse! Yesterday....own goal.....star forward aggrevates a shoulder injury.......goalkeeper gets injured......sending on....oh and another sending off! You'd think we did the ****er on purpose, or somebody up there doesnt like us! The popes gonna have to have his sunderland shirt on every week i think! We're doomed!
I agree its hard to remain positive. The under achievers make me sick as the next man. However, IMO I still believe we can scrape survival but we can't rely on certain players that have managed to get three previous managers sacked. It will be interesting to see what team he will play against Southampton.
Totally agree. Poyet does not have much, at all, to work with after the signings in the summer. As I've said before, his hand has been forced, in terms of the team he plays. We've brought in rubbish players and, ridiculously, expected things to improve. All we can do is get behind Gus and hope for the best.
