I think we should be moaning about Whelan getting a start! Yesterday was another frustrating one. Before the match I'd said we could probably do with some Tony Pulis tactics against Southampton, get behind the ball, and don't let them counter you. Problem was, we went too Pulis, we got a lucky goal in the first minute, and rather than seeing that they were there for the taking, stuck with the plan and sat back, seemingly with no intent of getting another goal, just not conceding, and it wasn't until the last 10 minutes we started to put pressure on and looked any better. We looked far better with Palacios in, I'm not sure why he didn't start, and Assaidi made a difference, I'm not sure why he wasn't on earlier.
