Cheers Grif, just had a brief look and it looks like a very good and well constucted article. I'll comment on it as soon as I've completed the matchday thread. <ok>

It's nice to see him dedicating some time to a QPR article- shows his passion.
(no worries nines, looking forward to the MDT!)

I agree Staines. If an established provider of stats like prozone believes the league position to be a fair reflection of our performances, then hopefully that will assuage some of the suggestions that we've played no one decent yet

as far as I’m concerned, we’re not even out of third gear yet.

    I'd agree with him there.

Prozone sounds like the name of a cream for nasty rashes!

Apart from that a good read:)

I think it's a good article and sensibly written. For once the stats aren't meaningless. Barton tries to show that it's where the attacking and defensive shots are taken and conceded in key areas are what really count. Unlike the pointless passing stats that the pundits are always banging on about.

COL is a strange one, Stroller. If TarraTubby had written that he'd be drooling all over it.

Not that that's likely to happen. I'd be surprised if he could even spell his own name.

Whilst Barton is doing alright for us (and it is only alright) then play him other than that I do not care what the pretentious prick has to say about anything

I bet everyone who objects to Barton still read the article though!

Doesn't matter whether he's a tit or not, he's a QPR player- so any of his views are likely to provide some insight on the state of our club. If bosingwa had written QPR articles, i'd have read them!

I did read the stats mate and they make interesting reading.

Barton has said recently that his heart lies in France, so that's why I'm not interested in what he says about our club.

Why should that matter? Surely you don't expect every playerwho turns out for Rangers to be as devoted to the Club as the fans? In my opinion, that would be totally unrealistic.

COL may well have a point here but there's an awful inconsistency there. We had a certain player for the last few years who had no more loyalty to the Club than a dog yet COL hung on his every word.

I don't like always attacking COL but he don't half wind me up sometimes <steam>
