The FA are always on the look out for victims who can support the bottomless pit with unjust fines.

So much for a democracy eh ? FA = Stalin regime.

No fecking chance. Steve Bruce was spot on with all he said.

The FA just dont like hearing the truth. Shame the LMA dont gamg up on the FA ffs.

Fed up of managers being handcuffed in what they can say. FREEDOM OF SPEACH PLEASE.

Yes Bruce can call it a joke as it was a joke.

Chazz has been FA brainwashed if he thinks otherwise.

I really cannot blame Bruce for his outburst. We only see 90 minutes of work. He, his staff and players will have spent hours watching videos of Spurs , working on tactics and formations, only for a clown to undo all of the excellent work with 10 minutes to go when he did not even see the incident clearly.

That's fine, but to imply that he should be sacked, or that he was 'just looking to give Spurs the penalty' is out of line. Basically calling the ref a cheat.

Right, so next time a mob of players surround a ref screaming in his face when he got the decision wrong you'll be right on their side.

Precisely. It seems to me like there is a massive case of double standards. Everyone to a man in football complains when players have a go at refs saying it shows a lack of respect and then when Allardyce complains about not one but TWO decisions that cost his side against us we all think it's pathetic sour grapes and he should just get on with it. The only thing that can come from outburts like this from Bruce is refs closing ranks and giving even more decisions against us.

Completely agree with Chazz and bummers. We really need to try to claw back some of the ground lost over the years in terms of respect for decisions, and keeping managers in line is part of that. Brucey could have made his point in milder terms and got away with it, but he didn't.

It was obviously a piss poor decision which upset Hull.
You came with a game plan to defend in numbers, slow the game down and to catch us on the break (I ain't criticising) and deserved a point for doing it well. You would have got the point if it weren't for the penalty decision.
The problem is that managers are expected to give interviews straight after a match when they are wound up and full of adrenalin so are bound to go off at the deep end if there has been a bad decision against their team.

On a side note...I do find it ironic that ex Man Utd players who used to get all sorts of dodgy decisions when they were at old trafford and saught to justify them now complain the loudest at the same dodgy decisions...Robson, Hughes, Bruce, Paul Ince etc. all benefited from ludicrous decisions such as the 8 minutes added on time v Sheff Wednesday which won them their first prem title back in 1993 when the ref just kept playing on until united were in front...there is a part of me that thinks that the ****e decisions that go against ex Man Utd players are Karma from the footballing gods <laugh>

good luck with the rest of your season

Its a fair point. The most ludricous one is Juventus being relegated for doing precisely what Hughes and Ferguson have done - request that they dont get certain referees any more. Nothing more nothing less. Yet we overlook it here as acceptable and report the same events from Italy as matchfixing.

As BCC has said the fine is reasonable within the current rules, but it pisses me off that the rules are so in favour of defending referees regardless of how poor the decision was. That no matter what they do, criticism of them isn't allowed. The authorities spend time and energy on punishing managers for their comments but do nothing about the decisions that cause it week in, week out.

Not at all. BUT, Under the circumstances of that instance i thought that our players protested in a good manner.

Oliver was out of order and deserves all the grief he has had over it. End of.

In which case they clearly are cheats, as they should remain impartial at all times.

What I meant is we wont get any generous decisions, like we did versus both West Ham and Norwich. That doesnt mean they cheat.

It was a terrible decision and he should be demoted to the lower leagues for a game or two, but kudos to him for having the balls to admit he made a mistake.

    He's hideously white.

Steve Bruce knew exactly what he was saying and invoking from the FA, he even went so far as to qualify his comments with the expected punishment. He was right in his view of the referees decision and wrong in commenting as he did. Personally I believe most of us would have done the same as a manager who finds himself in this situation is pretty much like a dad sticking up for his kids. Let's bottle it and dish it out on the pitch to Sunlan.

Or maybe substandard refs will think twice about awarding a penalty against us that they are not 100% certain about.

We got decisions at home vs Norwich & West Ham go our way & decisions away against Everton & Spurs go against us.

There certainly seems to be a home bias & if you win away in the PL you really have to deserve it and even more so if you're a smaller team.

Perhaps (like in cricket) there could be a challenge system where managers get to call on video replays one a match?
