Mine will follow shortly.
At some point they will have to take their heads out of the sand and listen though.

Please find below a letter that I have sent to the owner of our football club.

I have forwarded this to both Mike Ashley and Head of Media, Wendy Taylor, I look forward to their reply…

Dear Mr.Ashley

I am corresponding with you to express my disgust at your recent decision to ban the reporters from the Newcadstle Evening chronicle and its sister papers from the press box at St James Park.

It is alleged that this is due to disproportionate reporting of the recent protest march that was held before the Liverpool home fixture.

I am a longstanding supporter and season ticket holder of Newcastle United, I am also a club member, so I feel entitled to express both my opinion and displeasure at this ludicrous decision.

Quite frankly we, the supporters, are reaching the point when we despair at all that is happening inside St James Park, and banning the Chronicle smacks of childish huffiness.

A lot of people who follow Newcastle United can’t afford season tickets or buy Sky Sports, so they rely on the LOCAL paper to keep them informed of all things Black and White, so this ban is a further kick in the teeth to the good people of Newcastle.

I watch the Sky broadcasts and regularly hear the Sky pundits giving the Newcastle United hierarchy far worse criticism to a national and global audience, yet we don’t see you trying to ban Sky from St James Park, and you point the finger at the Chronicle as being unfair.

Most supporters are of the opinion that you Mr Ashley, are simply using our club to promote your main Sports Direct business, and as such your own personal wealth, so I challenge you to come and speak to the fans and actually state your intentions for Newcastle United.

The option of short-term fixes by appointing the likes of Kevin Keegan as team manager have long gone, and until you communicate with the fans then this ill feeling towards you will continue.

I will of course attend the Manchester City game tonight as I will continue to support the team, however unless things change I will never support you or the regime!

I will also continue to use the various platforms available to promote this anti feeling toward you and your running of the club, so should you wish to ban me then feel free, but I guarantee I will be here long after you’re gone!

I don’t expect the courtesy of a reply from you, but I will be putting the correspondence up on a website for all Newcastle United fans to see.

Only you can repair this damage now by either giving the club the financial support the fans deserve, or by giving the club to someone else who will.

Our financial contribution, season tickets, travel, strips etc makes a far bigger impact on our wages than what is required from you (relatively speaking) and the impact on your wealth, to make Newcastle United competitive again.

I look forward to hearing from you in due course

Kind regards

Brian W Standen

What a load of sh!t.

Internet age, free news everywhere, over-exposed.

I want to see written point by point exactly what causes such "disgust" among these over-opinionated, under-educated individuals. I'm not a fan of Ashley, but I'm seeing article after article berating this, that and the other. The most I've been able to glean is that we fans don't like Kinnear much and would have preferred two more players in the Summer. So let's riot.

After last nights result Mike must be delighted. It’s all going so well. Out of the first Cup competition and only the next one to ditch in January whilst maintaining our mid to lower table position.
A couple of cheap signings in the next window to appease the mugs (sorry, fans) and the job’s a god ‘un.
Then onto next season … to do it all again.
It’s great to be a Toon supporter isn’t it?
