It's a buzz word in business isn't it.

It's also a word floating around my head right now in relation to how I feel about our ongonig fortunes.

    So what are my expectations?

They used to be that we would see one or two class players come and go, play decent football, give most teams ago and generally feel as though as a fan I'm UNITED with the club as they keep 'us fans' informed about all happenings. I also liked the feeling of hope going to a match.

Now, I'd say my expectation is for us to play badly, lose most of the games, see overpaid players not give a **** and be forced to hear excuse after excuse from Pards as to why the aforementiond happed.

I also expect ever 2-3 months a significat PR gaff from our club to further erode our clubs standing in the game.

Some may call it pessimistic but anything better than that I'll now be happy.

    I call it realistic.

Do I expect us to get relegated. No.

But we will, season after season have to expect lower mid table at worst.

There we go a businessman (MA) had done a cracking job in managing my expectations.

As with any club it starts at the top. We have a disease in the club which has been there for some time. The football is actually surviving quite well against a background of no ambition, awful PR and comical general running of the club. We lurch from one disaster to the next off the pitch.

All the while we have a transfer policy which is about money not ambition, which fans, manager etc know is flawed. The fans have nothing in the club to connect with but continue to roll in supporting "their" club. We have a jobs for the boys situ with the DOF which is shameful connection for any club to have.

Obviously the focus is simple, get his money back. I think to a lot of fans it feels like death by a thousand cuts.

    Roll on Chelsea eh?

Again, what should we expect, mate? You can manage your own expectations, as long as you understand the situation. You can manage your own expectations by only reading articles you want to read, ignoring the spumes of negativity that are aimed at the club and so on.

Football is just not as complicated as it's being made out.
