Pisses me off mate when you get the mogadon brigade coming out of the woodwork shouting for the Managers head at the mere thought of us signing a player they don't agree with.

**** me there was one ****ing twat on here who should have been on the phone to the Samaritans yesterday cos we "MAY" be signing Ngog, he hasn't even signed yet but they are all for chucking it in, the manager is useless, the chairman's a liar, we have no ambition, we're a selling club, etc, etc.

Does my ****ing tit's right in mate, if they feel that strongly then why not just **** off instead of trying to whip up a hate campaign?

Quite simple in my book, if you don't like the direction the club are going then don't support them.

Well i lost it last night with cest lol but its been patched up now.

Everyone is entitled to their oppinion, i have no problem with that, its just the way some on here keep repeating the same thing.

    Bruce is crap
    Bruce has spent a fortune
This that or another player isnt good enough/too old
Its not the type of player we want.

I think this transfer window it will be more about getting numbers in with 1 or 2 quality signings, but that doesnt mean the number ones are not good enough, most didnt see the point of the Welbeck loan last season because he hasnt set the world on fire at Man U, but he turned out to be great for us, not saying N`Gog will, but then if he isnt, its on Bruces head (especially if we dont get anyone else).

the window has just opened, give them a chance, they may surprise us all yet (in a good way i hope)

Not always easy to abandon ur club when you don't like the way they are going though.... Just ask them up the road.

Doesn't make me wonder, if you track back through all their comments you'll find that a good 90% are negative.

Id still rather have another manager, but Bruce is here and theres not much I can do about it.

As for Jordan leaving, I took it on the chin and thats all any of us really can do. I hope he does well down there and I hope we spend the money wisely.

TBH it all got me down yesterday morning and all I ask is balance. I have no problem with any fan not wanting Bruce or the way the club is going, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Its the band wagon jumping and things like..

Bruce is a clown selling Henderson for 13 mil and paying 7 mil for Ngog.

Is it Bruce who agrees the fee?
Did we sell for 13 mil?
Have we paid 7 for Ngog?

One mans negative tripe is another mans very valid argument.

i set out reasons why I believe Bruce is a compromised manager now and the types of player we seem to be looking at are way short of what is needed at this level. I have seen the selling of our better player to be replaced by 2nd rate ones too many times and suffered the pain of relegation too many times to just stand on the touchline of debate and accept it because "Bruce and Quinn seemingly know better"?

Are we not allowed to criticise without being called doom-mongers and a mogadon brigade (whatever that is). I feel strongly that we are now seen in the EPL as a selling club without money and ambition. I reckon the next player to go will be Gyan and Spurs will be weighing up their offer right now, as they will see how readily we are accepting any offers for players. We are looking very vulnerable to bigger clubs taking our best players and that will mean it is less likely that good players will want to come to replace them. Good players don't want to be involved on relegation scraps but we have been in 4 consecutive scraps in a row and the current policy isn't going to make that better IMO. Players we may target want to see growth not selling the better players and I havent been one of those slagging Jordan off recently either. I rate the lad and don't buy this he demanded a move at all. This sale is totally down to the club wanting to sell. I know some very close friends of his family and know all he has ever wanted in his life was to play for Sunderland and at no point ever wanted to move. If he has gone, its 100% instigated by the club. That sends out a very poor signal IMO and I am entitled to make that point if I think so.

We will not break out transfer record this close season and if anyone really thinks a failed Liverpool striker, a crocked Wes Brown and a totally unproven Danny Gibson are the answers to our progress they are just kidding themselves.

Oh and while I am on, why should I just **** off and stop supporting a club I have spent the majority of my life following, just because some pathetic arsehole doesn't like my opinions. I want the same as everyone else on here but if I don't think the club are doing something right I'll continue to say so.

I was slated for my stance on S'Bragia but don't recall being wrong then. He was booted out ASAP after almost relegating us and with Bruce, I cant see where he will add to our club in the next 12 months either. This is his 3rd year and we are looking for another 7 or 8 players? Poor. Very poor.

And Quinny? Well like it or not, he is still coming out and spinning the line about Europe, whilst selling our best young prospects and targeting crocked old ones to replace them. I'd rather be told the truth that there's no money and we have to sell to buy. At least it would stop all the thinking about signing the top players and focus us on a reality that we may not like but can all agree upon going forward.

No, it's Quinn and Walton I believe.
    No, it looks like £16m.
No, as of yet we haven't signed him at all but it's more likely to be £3m/£4m, I believe.

I admit to having shown some dismay, more rashly than I should have done, but while I'm not a massive fan of Bruce if I had to pick someone to blame here I'd blame Quinn.

It's like when the Beatles split up though. Lennon said those who blame Yoko for the Beatles splitting up should give her credit for the fantastic music him, Harrison and McCartney made post Beatles.

If anyone's blamed for Hendo and Bent going they should take the credit for the good business I expect us to carry out over the coming months.

Show me the post? Dont make stuff up to try and look good to everyone.

I have been advocating very strongly why I rate the lad but there is no doubt he needed a rest this season. At no point have I EVER slagged the lad and in fact was a lone voice at times during a period when it was cool to slag him.

Get your stuff right before you post lies.

Suns shining, day off work, pubs are open, got my English newspapers, so far so good. best get a steak for dinner. perfect. A great start to the day. soon we get the continental friendlys, which I mean to attend, then off we go again, a new season, a new team , a new expectation [ always the same one mind ]
and of course The interclub banter which I love, some good threads from rival supporters, and some not so good,,,,,,,,,,,,,any way BRING IT ON.

Im all for people showing their passion for this club and obviously the sale of a local lad can ignite certain negative emotions. However judging by some of the opinions on this board its basically any excuse is good enough to instigate open season on Steve Bruce, Quinny, the board etc.

Personally I was a Henderson fan, and wish him well, but was he the be all and end all of our team, no. Personally i think any deal at approx 16-20million is very good besiness. I think with a bit of foresight and perspective fans will hopefully eventually be able to see the bigger picture and get behind the lads which surely its all about.

Teams have lost local lads and big players in the past, players move on, the team remains, and so shud the fans.

Not worth starting a new thread so I thought I would stick it in here, so to speak

    Twitter - Caulkin:

    For all fee fans ... #Lfc saying £16m for Henderson. #Safc saying £19.25m - sure that'll include add-ons - but close to £20m valuation.

    edit: also
That's the way of the game - #Lfc want to say they've got a bargain, #SAFC to say they've got good price. You can make your own judgement.
