He can be a beast for the next ten years with the right coaching and the fans on-side!

To be fair Krul and Dummhead would never have been expected to make such a **** up of that situation.

I thought Altidore was wasting his time following it in tbh.

Any reasonable fan would give a foreign signing a season and a decent run of games to settle in. Not every player hits the ground running. That's just a fact of life.

But they were giving Ramsey and others stick too, including the manager.
So not a stand out example. :)

I think it's a perfect example. The fans got on giroud's back about his performances in his first season, now a season later he's shut the lot of them up and now they're happy with him. :p

Hopefully if he plays against Hull he can snatch one against his old club!

He needs more time with Fletcher... that's all it is...

Another example... ball came into Fletcher top box in air and he headed a flick over the defender into the box... Jozy made the run looking for the flick onto the left side diagonal of Fletcher... Fletch flicked it into the right side of box...

A few more games and training and Jozy will know how and where Fletch wants to head that ball... It comes with familiarity with one another, how each moves and how they like handle the ball on various feeds... the chemistry will come... it's been a circus sideshow at the club, Fletch has been injured and they've only had a couple games and training sessions together... we all wish it wasn't early days for the two of them together at this point - but it is...

But I don't want him relying on Fletcher.
I want him to be a good player in his own right.
I had an argument ages ago with a mate about Quinn and Phillips.
He claimed they wouldn't have been as good without each other.
I disagreed as they were both good players.
And every Phillips goal didn't come from Quinn or vise versa.
Phillips was one of the smartest forwards I have ever seen.

To be fair the service to our front men has been ****e for seasons, granted Fletch scores but the difference in price tags represent the difference in class. Jozy is not an all rounder like our fletch is. Puts Jozy in the same bracket as every other striker in the squad, a bracket where the rest of the team can't/won't play to each strikers strengths when they're on the pitch. You'd think the lads would have realised that Jozy can't head a football to save his life yet fed him flick ons throughout the derby. Hopefully Poyet can get decent appropriate service to the front men.

Having Altidore and Fletcher up front in 442 is imposing for defenders and prevents the opposition throwing too many players into the attack. I like Altidore too, he could have easily netted 3 goals so far and i think these 2 could be the business <ok>
