STD has landed Two big rides for Paul Nichools- tiday bal and Unioniste. Personally I like him and do rate him but I know other s disagre. Also is nicholls desperate to find a top class rider to ride his horses. This time last year Rubt was over here but now he's left. When Daryl is busy or injured what is he going to do!
I've never rated Jacob and tbh I don't know why he didn't start using Noel Fehily again after his injury. STD deserves to get some nice spares, he is a god jockey who has really matured these last 18 months. Thoroughly nice bloke as well.
Nice to see the Twister get a few nice spares, I think he's ok as a jockey there's a lot worst out there, I wouldn't be as big a fan of his as Dexter but he seems a good lad and I wouldn't mind him doing well.
Good luck to the lad but I agree with Oddy about Noel Fehily. Im no expert about riding horses, about as far as you'd get from one probably, but Fehily seems to have a nice quiet style on a horse not unlike the best in the business Rupert Walsh.
As long as he stays on the horse of course! But best of luck to him. No better hurdler in my opinion that Wayne Hutchinson. Would love to see him getting a some big rides for a top yard.
I think STD is a good jockey.... Daryl Jacob is a top jockey in my opinion but not the class of Ruby Walsh but a satisfactory replacement for him. Noel Fehily has been compared to Ruby Walsh by many top experts so that says it all. Paul Nicholls knows what he's doing and even with Ruby gone he 'll still do the business. Dont forget that Ruby will still ride for Nicholls when he is needed and when he is available.
