    Hello All!

Football is a funny game and it's hard to compare any different player from one time to another.
However the signing of Marius has got me thinking.

Before Kisnorbo joined us in League 1 we were forever the bridesmaids.... and I think it's fair to say he made a significant (and in my opinion the telling) difference in us being play-off also rans to clinching automatic.
Could Marius provide us with the same impetus? I'm sure we would quite like a charge up to the play-offs. If he makes half the impact paddy did then a back 4 (if we revert) of Byram - Zaliukas - Pearce - Warnock actually looks pretty strong.

    Forever dreaming... :emoticon-0158-time:

By the sound of things, he could be the new Kisnorbo. Looking forward to MTMB becoming YNBMK. Stranger things have happened.

Can't see us reverting to 4 at the back some how. I think BMD will stick with 3 CBs and use Byram & Warnock as wingbacks. In that case, our 3CBs could be MZ - Lees, & Wooten.

As I've said elsewhere my only worry is that he has played twice for the development squad and watched 7 goals go in behind him.

The reports about his performances however have been awesome and Refearn said he was the best player on the pitch by a country mile and shows his international pedigree. This bloke is wanted by Harry at QPR, wanted at Rangers and wanted by other clubs around Europe, so even though none of us have seen him, we can see that he must have something if so many clubs want him. BMD said a couple of weeks ago that he had just watched him play for his country and marius had Edin Dzeko in his pocket. How many of our defenders could handle Dzeko?

Lets give him a chance and hope he he's actually better that Kissa, especially in the fitness department

Point noted Bucks. I think given that Wooten will for the moment at least be 1. We're assuming that MZ is likely to start as the 2nd CB. So the choice for 3rd CB or bench spot is between Lees and Pearce, given that we have no need of Peltier as an alternative CB. My choice would be Lees as 3rd CB & Pearce on the bench.

Pearce has been great this season but Saturday he was terrible.

Wootton hasn't done a thing wrong yet....

I'd stick with same team v Yoevil to build confidence back up but maybe drop Ross for Dexter

Can't see Ros being dropped, maybe Dexter on for Smith or a midfielder and a change of formation.... or maybe BMD will go with a 433 from the start. Can't see it, as Wingbacks and 3 CBs might just be his new formation of choice. I know we lost on saturday, but Murphy missed a sitter and there were what looked like 2 stonewall penalties. Either way, we could again have scored at least 3 goals. We wouldn't have done that a few weeks ago.

Anyone who wants lees instead of Pearce wants shooting.

Am all for different opinions but you'd have to either be Stevie wonder or a ****wit to say that

Though he was very average last season,I was just thinking in 12 months will you be saying the same about Murphy, takes time for some players to settle in and Managers.

No because murphy has no strengths, he's got nothing to his game.

Pearce improved straight away under Brian, it was the way we played under warnock, it didn't suit most of the players

Murphy is played in his correct position

LIW, you and I are clearly going to disagree on Lees. But I saw one defensive header recently that suggests that sometimes you really do talk out of your ar*e. Its why he was selected for the England U21s, even though he didn't get a game. That said, whoever plays and whatever formation BMD chooses, there is now some genuine competition for CB.

    -------------------------------------

What the **** is that meant to mean, u saw one header and it means am talking ****e

Getting picked by Stuart ****ing Pearce means nothing, I wouldn't let him run my pub team.

He's not very good and never will be.

    Everyone thinks it but you.

Coz your either a ****wit or just like going against the grain

    Which is it
