A truely remarkable acheivement, 10 games played, 10 games won. Better form than any of the teams in Austria, Denmark, Belgium, Holland, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, England, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey. Only Roma equal our 100% league record but even then we have played a game more and scored nearly twice as many goals.
Superb from the Teds. Ramsden cup semi if on BBC Teuchter tonight at 19:30. I'll miss the fist half but will Sky+ it. Could a another record about to be smashed by the glorious Glasgow Rangers?
Alba games are pish. Watching it with the sound down and then them cutting to do 15 interviews during the game. Pitch side reporter "Ally, if we could get a quick word, what was your opinion on that throw in?" Ally "It should have went to us" Pitch side reporter "Thanks Ally, we'll be back in 5"
I know they have 10 outta 10 wins, but have any other team been on top this season (don't know the results, so cant say if goal diff made them top or not), even if it was only for a day or hours until Rangers played. If no other team has been in the top spot, it would be a nice achievement to go the entire season at the top of the table. Don't think that would have been done many times before, if ever.
Not even in the early weeks of the season? I know the standard of opposition is lower than what the majority of the Rangers squad are capable of competing against, but even Juventus/Marseille didn't manage top spot for the entire season when they were dumped down a league. Nice one if you stay there (shouldn't be too much of a problem, considering how far ahead you are)
By all accounts Rangers are playing much better this season. Hats off to the manager, the players and the fans. Terrific turnaround after the constantly embarrassing performances witnessed last season. Hypothetically speaking if you were in the Premiership (or whatever the feck the SPL's called these days), I think you'd avoid relegation and maybe even push for a top six place. But you'd obviously miss out on the glory of a Ramsden Cup run <swingsandroundabouts>
Don't think so gambol. After the first game I think we were 2nd with +4 goal difference, someone was on +5.
Just checked the week 1 results. Rangers won 4-1 +3 GD. Ayr Utd won 3-0 +3 GD. I would expect that since Rangers had scored more, they would have been 1st in the league table. the following weeks have Rangers winning by cricket scores so no chance of any other team taking top spot. So it looks like you are on course for a bit of history.
A fantastic start to the season and I'm sure we'll stay at the top for the rest of the season. Of course we will drop points but that is expected.
Rangers are the only club in world football to have gone through a league season with a 100% record. This was achieved in 1898/99 when the club earned a record of played 18, won 18. The feat became known simply as "The Record". Can we eclipse this record? Don't see why not. All we need is Gambol to predict this outcome and it's a shoe-in.
I hear Guinness are to permanently station an official at Ibrox to deal with all our world records http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/news/2013/10/perm.....delegate-oct.52460/ They will not like this
