After the game on Sunday did anyone think he had a bet on Newcastle to win? because in my opinion he give the geordie's everything. Hope I don't see him Ref a game at the Stadium of Light ever again.
Im pretty sure sessegnon got sent off for the same type of push on Tiote and he got sent off yet nothing much has been made of the fact that Tiote raised his hands and as for Cabaye what does the bloke need to do to get sent off he just fouls constantly and that tackle if that had been tiote or cattermole it would have been red!!
I think Probert sent off sess against Villa last season pal. don't get me started on Kebab man. his just a little french dwarf.
Pardew needs to watch the match again & if he does then he can't moan about the soft Fletcher free kick.
Probert is useless - I thought he reffed the game against the mags when Sessegnon got sent off but not certain - Sessegnon got sent off by him last season at Villa for accidentally standing on someone's toe!! Not for turning around and hitting someone in the face - I can guarantee if that'd been Catts then it would've been "just another Lee Cattermole being a thug moment" Same with Cabaye - as much as he is a quality footballer - he is one of the dirtiest in the premier league - yet he seems to be immune to cards where every other player would be booked!! Also (I know I'm going on a bit) - the "Common Sense" rule seems to apply when you're talking about a foul which, 99% of the time would be at least a yellow card (Cabaye's first one very early in the game) - Why can't "common sense" come into it with the player going in the crowd? it was a big day - biggest game of our home season and a player, who has spent most of the season on the sidelines, scores an important goal very early in the match - where is the "common sense" aspect and why can the ref "choose" when he gets to use common sense - a booking is a booking - whether it's in the first or the last minute
It was wonderful that Tiote, who'd fouled & whinged his way through the game, handed us the goal on a plate Pardew's excuses are like the Loch Ness monster myth ......... based on very little evidence and only believed by the gullible.
To be fair he didn't have view of Tiote lashing out, that was slap bang in front of the assistant. We need to remember that there are 4 wastes of space officiating games these days. The general standard across the country is collective disaster.
I had the line from where i was standing(was in the east stand)from the front of the foul to the referee, The ref would have only have seen the back of larsson from about 35 years. The assistant was 10 yards away with a clear view. The ref needed his assistants opinion before he could make a definitive decision. but nothing came out his mouth. Could be wrong (just going from what I saw in the moment). If someone could consult the highlights it would put it to bed.
On the contrary mate, by comparison we have some of the best officials in England in my opinion (Cue Howard Webb jokes!). The standard on the continent is pathetic by our standards and if you'd have seen United's latest CL game against Real Sociedad you'd have seen for yourself exactly what I mean and he's supposed to be one of the best in Europe, this Dutch moron. I reckon the ref had a decent game on Sunday, if you're honest, unless you count every foul as a booking there was nothing worth a red card. I think he made the right decision with the little handbag exchange between Tiote and Larsson, clearly Larsson was all over Tiote unfairly and he was shoved to the ground, two men scrapping over possession, it wasn't assault. I'd imagine Larsson was tasked with 'getting to' Tiote and it worked in that instance, but you could tell he was provoking it and the ref knew exactly what he was doing. No doubt a Vinnie Jones or a Duncan Ferguson would have caved Larsson's face in for climbing on them like that! Ultimately though Pardew had no excuse for losing that game, the referee done a decent job.
Always got to find some way of being victims don't you. If you look back on the Tiote incident you can see he never caught Larsson's face and from what I saw the referee gave you a lot more than us, however I can admit that he didn't get any major decisions wrong and that it had no effect on the game. Just enjoy your victory rather than still having to find a way to be victims.
Of course you think the standard of refereeing is decent, you support Man U. No offence intended mate but you do see me point don't you? You've had the sway of refs for 20 years. They now classed as professional, there should be some transparent accountability. The ref who disallowed Jozy's goal officiated a premier league match in his next game. The assistants are getting worse, afraid to put their foot down on decisions they see, they'd much rather have a hassle free life and go with a ref's decision even if he couldn't have seen it then put their foot down.
Your manager started it man, he's the biggest victim of injustice since Nelson Mandela according to him He's claiming our winning goal was down to the referee so how did it not affect the game? How can we be playing the victim when we beat you again ...... you've no more logic than your daft excuse ridden manager. BTW, this is football supporters talking about the weekend's referee as is usual on football chat forums.
Got to say did notice that Probert has sent off 2 Newcastle and 2 Sunderland players in the last year despite being a lenient referee, one or two of which were harsh IMO including Sessegnon's sending off against Villa.
