We should bring Shola back into the side

I'm sorry, but it's quite clear that we look far more effective with a target man in the side. When Shola came on he had impact. We looked far more threatening. Shola's knock downs and holding off of players and his ability to bring others into the game was changing it up until we got sloppy and Sunderland scored that screamer.

This false 9 thing is ****e. We don't have the ability to play this sort of pass and move thing and consistently break down teams. We need a target man in the side for now, until we get our system sorted out again.

We're against City next, and I think we should play this system -

Remy-----Shola-----Ben Arfa

Not sure all those guys are 100% fit at the moment.

We have one convincing striker by the name of Remy, was he not playing up front by himself for QPR last season and looking good? Our main troubles up front come from a) Cisse looks ****ing abject and getting worse b)we have no viable back-up.

No to Shola, no to Campbell (unless we want to play two up front - he is a good 'prospect' but to rely on him like that isn't a good idea imo).

Get Ba back in January, I honestly think we could convince him back if we really wooed him and matched his wages. With a convincing striker with Remy and Ben Arfa playing off them we would be a different prospect entirely.

 

I reckon we should play whatever formation is gonna get us players in the box when we manage to get forward.

I'm fooking sick to the back teeth of seeing move after move break down because we have one person to try and pick out in the penalty box cos no-one has bothered their arse to get up and offer up some options.

Maybe its not the formation or the starting 11 that needs to change.......just saying !

How confident are you that he can be up to the task by starting the match? His effectiveness window is less than 30minutes. Expect him to close down fresh defenders and challenge them for headers, it's not gonna work well. We'll be playing 10 v 11 the entire time.

****ing hell Tash no. Just no. No, no, no alright? You just can't be serious when you ask for Shola to brought back into the side. He is an embarassment and made a career out of pretending to be a footballer. I would rather any ****er to start ahead of him. 12 plus years we have this abomination of a player, its high time it ****ing ended.

I know Cisse has been very poor but Shola is not the answer to anything unless it is 'Name the most appalling player in Premiership History?'
