Another win, another clean sheet and another unconvincing performance. I think I've written that about three times on the trot, now. <laugh>

Harsh on Hull, but I think that it's time to stop taking our whole squad on these Europa League jaunts. Flagging legs and a slow pace.

Sod the hotel malarky, AVB needs to start by fining players big-time for the
sloppy passing and ball control this season.

Visiting Hull fans, if you're going to be abusive, do it on your own board.

Terrible refereeing decision. Where the **** do refs want players to put their hands?

Well that was rubbish, the bits I saw anyway. I got so bored in the first half I fell asleep.

Guess thats why many continental defenders close down around the box with their hands behind their backs

Time to put this Europa nonsense to death too.
The next Europa game is at HOME, and so is the PL game 3 days later.
Let's see what happens when the Toon come to WHL ...

Why's our next league game on Sunday? Don't we have enough Sunday games as it is or something?

Oh well, onward and well, er... sideways, as we play Hull again on Wednesday. Interesting to see how many changes we'll make and if any of our injured players will make a return.

Another win, another clean sheet but fairly drab footy again. Thought we had a pretty decent stab at something resembling passing in the first half but, we must have realised because that stopped in the 2nd half. No one stood out today at all. And paulinho and townsend need to learn to get their heads up. Screaming for the ball to be given earlier so often and they just get their heads down or pass backwards. This slow tempo rubbish can't keep going. It handicaps us beyond belief. Can't wait to get Rose back.

    Tottenham 1-0 Hull
Andre Villas-Boas is not pleased with the Tottenham fans today, saying they had 'too much anxiety.' Full quotes to come...

We didn't have the support we should have done. There was much anxiety from the stands, the players had to do it alone.

The players did NOTHING to inspire the support.

Well done to Spurs, Hull can feel unlucky. We surely must rest most of the team and not send them anywhere near Tromso. The EL is taking its toll surely. Sandro looked knackered, don'tthey test these players before they send them out there, especially someone like Sandro just coming back from injury.

Anyway massive plaudits to our defence, but a lot of our attacking players including two of my faves Paulinho and Holtby seriously need to up their game. But I do think all the travelling that Paulinho does for Brazil can't be good for him. As for Holtby, maybe he's not as good as I thought he was.

Be interesting to see the team on Wednesday, Hull will rest quite a few I expect, let's hope Fryers and Naughton can play, we need to rest some of our defenders.

I think we'll win again, but we need to save a lot of energy for the Everton game.

Oh and as for the crowd, I couldn't tell from the sound I was getting how bad we were, but it won't surprise me if it was awful. I'm so pleased I've given up going, we have to have one of the worst set of home fans in the country. Why people want to spend good money to hear a load of negative people giving out inane drivel is beyond me. I'm so pleased I've kicked the habit :)

Maybe if Spurs ever build this new stadium things may change, maybe ...
    EDIT

BTW, obviously not ALL Spurs fans are negative moaners, but far too many are, and of the others far too many don't get behind the team. When I look at the fantastic support a ' bottom of the table club' like Palace generate, it makes me embarrassed and ashamed.

Well done to AVb for highlighting our lack of support

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas: "It was difficult to break them down. They came here with a good strategy, which is nothing different to what teams do when they come here.

"The difference today is that we were patient. I compliment the boys for what they did, it was great work-rate.

"We didn't have the support we should have done. There was much anxiety from the stands, the players had to do it alone.

"The referee could have not given the penalty, sometimes they are not given, Brucey will be devastated by that decision.

"Apparently Andros Townsend fell in a hole. He was unconscious, but he will be OK."

  19. I told you it wouldn't work with Lennon starting in this side. It's simply not set up for him. AVB has got to forgot his loyalty to players and run with will actually work for us.

This was a very, very, very lucky win for us, but I'll take it. It wasn't so long ago that this is the kind of match we would have lost by the same score.

AVB getting on the backs of a WHL crowd who were at worst indifferent.
