Better hold on to you hats. It won't be pretty, don't expect we'll be playing our usual intricate inter-passing and neat triangles
A wonderful adaptation of a fine book. Much maligned in many quarters, but I doubt its critics actually get the point.
fromthestands here on the wigan latics site just go to say first of like your stat`s how long did that little lot take. anyway as for the game we do have a strong line up but with some players out {Maloney} and some players returning from injury like always in these first kind of meetings in a while its going to be a see how things go in the first half of the game but having said that I`me going for a 2-1 win for us don't think there will be many more goal`s than that so anyway good luck for the rest of the seasone.
Thankfully, I am not going today. So I predict cafc to win handsomely and I expect there will be no parking issues, no massive queue for a burger and everyone will given the correct change by an english speaking cashier, and the votv social misfits selling that squalid rag will have used mouth wash. In reality I fear a 2.0 loss.
Good to have you on here, fromthestands - hope you can persuade a few more Latics to join in the conversation on not606. We like our matchday threads on here...
Your full of joy today, Typical. Looking forward to getting my copy of the VOTV, my burger by whoever serves me, I don't really care if they come from abroad or not. I am multi lingual so it doesn't matter to me. Looking forward to a Charlton win.
Well London transport has f*cked me over so I can't get to the game now but what really takes the piss is that I bought a ticket before I found out as they don't tell people until you get to the platform, TFL is actually a joke...
Afternoon all Charlton: Hamer; Wilson, Wiggins, Morrison (c), Wood; Pritchard, Stephens, Cousins, Stewart; Church, Kermorgant Subs: Pope, Hughes, Evina, Jackson, Dervite, Green, Sordell So Kermorgant's back for Sordell, Jacko's still on the bench and Stewart keeps his place ahead of Harriott, who doesn't even make the bench. COYA!
Steward pulls it back, Stephens lets it roll to Pritchard, but he puts it over. Good chance missed. Yann is off, he was injured early on and couldn't shake it off. Sordell replaces him.
Worrying news. I hope he is not going to made of glass like Fuller, Haynes and Jackson. And apart from what we think of Sordell's application, he is a totally different sort of player from Kermit, so that must throw the pre-match planning out. I am listening to the Wigan commentators and they are full of praise for the Charlton players' industry. Some might see that as a bit patronising but I think it is fair comment. We don't have a lot of quality in there with Kermit, Jackson and Solly out so we have no option but to compensate with effort. Stephens one of our best players today. He usually turns up against NW teams hoping to attract attention for a move. Maybe we will swap him for Ben Watson. I think Wigan will move him on once out of the Cups.
