and when they do we'll be ready to pounce with our marquee £1m championship players ready to step into the breach as the only team in the country that isn't completely bankrupt. the bubble has to burst sometime. it happened with the housing market and it will eventually happen to football...

    ...now we wait.

I think that Ashleys BUSINESS plan with NUFC is the right thing to do.

We are at a sustainable level and the wage cap is still good enough for someone of substantial talent to come to us. We are ahead of the pack in terms of this (apart from probably Arsenal - who also have a wage cap), however I don't think it'll be long before other teams take note and come down to a level like ours. Thankfully we have a great support and turnover compared to other clubs and this will put us in great stead foer the future in comparison with others.

In conclusion we just need to remain patient and loyal and our time will come, I am sure of that (what I'm not sure of is that it will be in my lifetime)

Edit: Great first article, have some Rep!

    Cheers! <ok>

I too believe our time will come...think I just feel we may have to rely on other 'big spender' teams imploding in order for that to happen (can't wait for Man City's demise, don't want the club to end or anything but can't stand their 'throw money at it' attitude to everything...plus my ex supported them!)

But I echo the throw money at it attitude, It's like beat it until it works!!!
Sooner or later this sheik will get bored of losing so much money and will head off back to the sand dunes <ok>

You will probably find that Man City sign ridiculous sponsorship deals with the Sheiks other companies to keep the books balanced.

You read my mind. Only way I can think of that they will be able to carry on spending and generate enough income to stay within the new regs and thereby still qualify for europe.
