Evaluation! Well, go ahead call it a Viking invasion. I was second to no Viking. Wasnât very successful in pillaging (no gold, and only a little copper left in the Swansea hills) nor in raping or enslaving either. I earned my merits in other ways: I went to the Vetch Field. Enjoyed the later discussion of the Google maps image of missing grass in specific areas of the park. A high point and a low point of the trip too. I had anticipated going there â in fact, I spent most of my first evening walking the streets trying to find the Vetch. FFS had pointed it out to me from Town Hill. Very disappointed: I had to go and get extremely pissed later that evening. Found a few good pubs and conversation in Wind St. people were very tolerant. When we finally got there, there was just the park, no memorial, no statue not even a playground! Hope it won't end up as a place where people take their dogs walking. http://www.not606.com/album.php?albumid=671&attachmentid=27175 FFS took me to the training ground, rain was pouring. Took some great video clips: the best was ML casually doing a few tricks with the ball. Canât upload that, but itâs going to earn me free beers in Copenhagen pubs for a considerable time⦠I did really (honestly) enjoy eating cockles at the market. They were so fresh I had sand cracking between my teeth. ***gots were fine, but the batter was better! The ice cream was totally overshadowed by the hairdresser incident though. Going to the Liberty! The headline of my thread, finally watching Swans plays a home-game. Slightly disappointed with the 4-0 result, as I had predicted 3-0. The highpoint of that of course being the penalty-curse being broken, as Bony scored his penalty kick. Iâm not posting pictures from my visit to the Harvester, but as mentioned elsewhere it took me about 2 hours to be allowed to buy a round of pints (Dreyfus:âI insist!â, canât argue with that). Great to shake hands, see faces and have a few laughs. http://www.not606.com/album.php?albumid=671&attachmentid=27176 After I was in no condition to go anywhere but Wind St. Again. Another huge amount of pints consumed here. Meeting friendly people all over the place, taking me to clubs and pubs and more pubs. Oh, hereâs the evidence why Shelvey (and Routledge) were in no shape to play on Thursday: pic is taken approximately 4 am. http://www.not606.com/album.php?albumid=671&attachmentid=27177 I enjoyed walking the streets of Swansea. The openness and friendliness of the people I met (both from the board and others) was warming. If you ever come to Copenhagen, Iâll try to live up to the experience I had and give you a view of my city, that tourists will not normally get. PS. The bad breath DOES wear off after a few daysâ¦
I have one question for you.....did ew get yer 'ole? Translation - Did you make whoopee with a lucky young lady during your holiday of a life time in sleepy old Swansea?
What kind of Viking are you? You're a disgrace is what you are. Get a haircut and copulate....more. You Scandinavians are meant to be good at this sort of thing for Pete's sake!!!
As far as I'm concerned I don't need a haircut, so I didn't get one, and and for the other matter it's really not your business who, when, where or how I copuate. Might have let you in on a few details if you'd come for a beer: now you'll just have to go there and ask for yourself, or get a haircut. OOOoopppss, just thought: she's not your wife, is she?
Sounds like you had an eventful few days in Swansea, Mikra. Well done on making the effort to come over. And you were instrumental in ending our Premier League penalty drought. Thanks for that. Actually, I feel a new thread coming on. Watch this space...
I used to live around the corner from there actually and would have been up for a beer but am busy renovating our new house....early starts, late finishes, living temporarily with the mother-in-law....not good for copulating. Would have more chance with the hairdresser at the moment....might take a look
I'm recording this one B-) Got familiy obligations outweighing the fact that both Swans and FC København are playing this afternoon :O
