Just a bit of fun guys Hi guys as the Henderson rumour mill draws to a close I was thinking as teams and players swoop in for others best players, what is the pecking order of the premier league this is my suggestion This is down to several features which I believe a player would look at Good - Big financial resources (+100) - Star names/manager (+100) - Champions league (+100) - Huge fan support (+50) - Position last season (+30 for first, +29 for second...) - Europa league (+30) - win premier league (+20) - Win Fa cup (+50) - Finalist of cup competition (+30) - Location is big city (+20) - Money available (+20) Bad -relegation threat (-100) -no manager (-50) -little money (-50) -little support (-20) -newly promoted (-20) -bad location (-20) I have given just a taster of the score in brackets and ADDED EVERYTHING ELSE TOO 1 Man Utd (Sir Alex, winner last year, champion’s league finalists) = 430 2 Man City (huge amount of money, star players, Fa cup last year) = 398 3 Chelsea (huge amount of money, location, big stars at club) = 299 4 Arsenal (4th last year, champions league, stars at club) = 277 5 Liverpool (King Kenny, stars at club, location) = 215 6 Sunderland (huge fan base, money to spend, position) = 111 7 Tottenham (5th last year, London, champions league run) = 96 8 Newcastle (huge fan base, location, position) = 89 9 Aston Villa (location, selling good players, no manager) = 62 10 Stoke (Fa cup finalists, Europa league, and little money) = 28 11 Everton (location, good position last season, little money) = 14 12 QPR (Huge financial resources, location, relegation threat) = -20 13 Fulham (location, good position last season, little support) = - 27 14 West Brom (good position last season, little money, little support) = -30 15 Blackburn (position last season, little support, little money) = -84 16 Swansea (money to spend, little support, newly promoted) = -100 17 Bolton (good position last season, little support, little money) = - 103 18 Wigan (Bad position last season, little money, little support) = -155 19 Wolverhampton (position last year, little money, bad location) = -156 20 Norwich (newly promoted, little money, little support) = -210 430-200 = get who you want just agree the price 200-50 = get the teams below you but teams above still can get your players 50-0 = fight on your hands to get quality players but usually get loyal ones 0 – (-) 100 = get the older or lower quality premiership players (-)100-(-)210 = championship teams to swoop on
Nice idea but massively inaccurate. We're nowhere near sixth. Livepool and Newcaslte don't have location working for them. Only the London, Manchester and perhaps Birmingham clubs do. Our location works against us massively. Tottenham should be way above us currently.
you give winning the europa cup, fa cup or just being a finalist more points than winning the prem league?????????????????
nice idea but I think the real order would be something more like this 1) Manchester united 2) Chelsea 3) Man City 4) Liverpool 5) Arsenal 6) Tottenham 7) Aston Villa 8) Everton 9) Sunderland 10) Newcastle 11) Fulham 12) Wolves 13) West Brom 14) Bolton 15) QPR 16) Stoke 17) Blackburn 18) Norwich 19) Swansea 20) Wigan
I think London's attraction is stronger than your generic weighting, Wigan. Maybe London = +50 From the BBC: Chelsea have stolen a march on Manchester United in the battle to bring Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder to the Premier League. Stamford Bridge officials are set to hold talks with Inter over a £30m deal, with Sneijder and his wife keener on a move to London than Manchester.
Madness again. The likes of Crouchy, Defoe and even the foreign lads would sooner go to Fulham, QPR or Newcastle than us unfortunately.
sad but true thats a big problem we have attracting quality and untill we get to europe and mean busines it will always happen
