Yeah defintely, I think we were all disappointed after the Newcastle game and beating WBA by a good margin (2 or 3 goals) would be a good result. They started crap but are playing well again now and they're no pushovers, 3-0 would do me very nicely indeed!

And for anyone who doesnt use links on the internet (I dont, I always seem to get a virus even though I have AVG) its on the radio on Absolute. Not sure which games in 5 live but its def on Absolute

I'd expect BR to select the same starting line up as vs Barcodes

    --------------Mignolet---------------
    --------Toure, Skrtel, Sakho-------
    Johnson-------------------Cissokho
    --------Henderson, Gerrard--------
    ----------------Moses---------------
    ----------Suarez, Sturridge--------

But Moses was poor in the hole behind the front two, so I'd rather see Luis Alberto get that spot. Ease Ford back in on 60 minutes, and perhaps if we're looking to ease players back in, the skipper can take an early bath on 70 mins with the Welsh Xavi replacing him, finally giving Studge a few minutes to acknowledge the crowd with a replacement by Moses to stretch the Baggies' tired legs and polish the scoreline...

Got it all played out in my mind...

Probably not, but games in my head rarely follow the script. Probably we'll see Welsh Xabi starting in place of Moses and Moses come on around the hour to ease WX back in...

have a bad feeling about this game tbh, hopefully them doing the double over us last year was perhaps Clark's knowledge of the players we had, lot of new faces now so maybe that won't be such a factor this season.

I'm the opposite. I'm a fatalist and we're due one, combined with what you allude to.

Will be interesting to see - still feel that an early goal is crucial.

The interesting decision will be who plays as the number 10.

We didn't play 5 at the back v palace at home. so in the end this goes down to is 5 at the back rodgers bottling it away form home.. a policy based on players he has or is it what he wants to play against decent sides and the 4-4-2 he went for (more or less) v palace stating that palace are useless?

I think honeslty we will see the following team if rodgers has got the bottle.

    -----------Mignolet
    Johnson Toure Sakho Cissokho
    ------------Lucas
    -----Henderson Gerrard
    ---Suarez Sturridge Moses

I see absolutely no reason to include skertl at the back at the expense of the midfield. Either trust the massive investment you made at CB or don't simple. if you don't trust it stick agger back in with toure and go back to the 3 clean sheet you got in the first 3 games!!!!

Fatalist = What will be, will be.

Due one = We haven't beaten them for a while.

What you alluded to = Clarke has less familiarity with some of the players because he hasn't coached them. Less insider knowledge <ok>

Just what I said - Luis for Moses starting. But given his status as BR's lovechild, WX will get in before LA...

I have no problem with 5(3) at the back if you're looking at Wing Backs pushing on. Glen and Aly both have that capacity to push the wingers back by threatening and combining with the front players...
SKrtel didn't play all that well vs Barcodes, so I can see his spot being under threat. Question is really do you drop him and go 4 at the back or run out Dagger/Ilori?

My opinion is strongly that we are not playing 3-5-2 but that we are playing 5-2-3 and especially when we don't have the ball. everyone is too deep or worse over run in midfield when we do win it back. moses is a passenger as well.

I feel picking the 4 CBS for one game was one thing... needs must and we didn't do well but then we seem to have decided we cannot drop skertl now and don't want to so we are sacrificing a player further up to accommodate him meanwhile sides are pushing our fullbacks back and withdrawing to a lone striker and 3 in the middle so we are seeing 3 men mark one while gerrard and whomever are out manned.

We need to get back to 4-3-3 and win the midfield area. after that lets face it we are conceding form silly set piece not form great opposition play so if we back ourselves to have more of the ball through the midfield dominance (if possible) then teams have a lot less chance to score.. then rely on suarez and sturridge to produce the one goal needed just like they did v newcastle... pity the two occasions the produced and got it on target were negated by rank play for both newkie goals.
