Have a go mate. We all made a couple of shockers early on. I don't remember you being any more miserable t̶h̶a̶n̶ ̶u̶s̶u̶a̶l̶ than anyone else.

I think people were very sentimental and naive at first (including me). I remember doing a thread asking who people would want as a new manager IF he was sacked (think I did it after the WBA game) and even though I said I'd only accept his sacking if a top manager was brought in (MP may be that man), it still didn't go down well. It would have been better if Adkins was sacked and replaced in November; the sacking I agree with (in hindsight), the timing I do not. The Forren signing also shows how little input Adkins had in transfers and how Cortese buys most of our players, not that I'm complaining!
I doubt Cortese has much to do with it, he's not really a football guy. It's common knowledge that there's a committee of scouts and others (including the manager) working on transfers, though obviously Adkins wasn't included in the Forren deal.
Three years ago today, Alex Chamberlain scored his first professional goal in a game which ended Southampton 2-1 Oldham. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
The definitely redid the tweet because they originally said it was his first professional goal. Now they've said league goal I'm satisfied.
I think I'm going to download all these videos onto my mac & with a little editing make myself a nice video, that'll be a nice Xmas pressie fora couple of mates & the old man.
Bit late, but two years ago yesterday, James Ward-Prowse made his senior debut in a League Cup game at Selhurst Park, aged just 16.
The walking wounded for Saints. Barnard has his hand bandaged following Glass-Gate and Lambert just had a big piece of dressing on his head. No girly Rooney headband for our number 7
On this day five years ago... ...David McGoldrick scored the opener in a 1-1 draw with Coventry City. please log in to view this image
Yeah. David McGoldrick was one of the last assets of the pre-Liebherr Academy days. He was dynamite in the reserves, but because he came up a dull thud in the first team [not entirely his fault by any means] he was considered rubbish by many fans. Water under the bridge.
Scored 16 in 22 for Coventry on loan last season. McGoaldrought was back to his free scoring reserve team ways!
Just found this blast from the past, and not sure where is best to post it: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/166656-Fonte-Absolutely-****ing-useless Enjoy.
