I live west Hull (boulevard area) and have a couple of Grandsons 5 yrs and 3 yrs old. I was wondering if anyone knows of a local football club/team that they could join or start training with? They have had a bit of a tough year and as I have always had a kick about with them at the local park, I think it would be beneficial and help build their confidence if they could play/train with lads their own ages.

The nearest club I can see registered with the Hull & District League is Anlaby Road Rangers, though I suspect that the youngest they'll do is probably an U9's team, which they won't be old enough for yet. There's probably people nearer to you with far more info, but just in case you want to talk to them, there's a contact us form on here:

My older boy( 7 yr old) plays for Westella Willerby . They are at present looking for boys for the U7's age group . Training is at the ST Thomas Moore playing fields Anlaby Park Road North area . They train Wednesday nights Saturday morning and then a match Sunday during the season.
I take the younger brother age 4 to watch and have arun about whilst his elder brother trains .
Really sorry but I am at work and don't have the contact number for the coaching lads . However they are on Facebook under the title Westella Willerby Under 7's . You could message them on there or google the club for contact numbers .
Ps my boys absolutely love it . Hope that's of some help .UTT

My mate takes his lads to indoor sports centre 0n national ave on a saturday morning, they get training and they put them in teams to have a game each week. they start them at avery young age too so would be ideal for a 3 year old

Hull City in the community run sessions on a Saturday morning from half ten 'till twelve every Saturday morning in North Ferriby.I think the youngest they take on is four years of age and it goes up to either eight or nine.It does cost £20 every 5 weeks though.
I think they do something similar at the KC or South Hunsley( not much difference, I know ).
If you give the club a bell they'll be able to give you the details. It's good because there's no pressure and it's for kids of all abillities. All the coaches work for the club and wear all the City training gear as well.

My lad went for years and loved it.

Can recommend the Tigers Trust, was Hull City in the Community, they run sessions for 4 years and up every Saturday on the astroturf at the KC from (10am - 11.30am) best to check in case the times have changed think it was £26 for 6 weeks.
My lad went for about a year from when he was 5, he got bored of just training though as they don't play matches just train and left to join a team. But he learned a lot in that time.
