    Yeah that's right, all the ills of modern football aren't:

    the overpaid players who generally have no allegiance or loyalty to the club/area they represent
    the players agents or hangers on
    the foreign owners who are only interested in making money or having a toy to play with
    the over-saturation of over-hyped matches by television companies who care nothing of the game other than what it can do for them
    a tightening of the rules to the point where it is almost unrecognisable from the game of the 70's most loved.

    Apparently its none of that as the problem is the fans. That makes total sense. Not utter bollocks at all.

    Chis Siddall another fecking blowhard full of his own worth living under the impression that we give a **** what a school teacher thinks about us.

    Its funny he mentions bandwagons as he is the one jumping on the one slagging off all things mackem with an opinion molded no doubt by trawling the t'internet and reading the comments of Bruce, Shearer and other "unbiased" opinions.

    No comment acknowledging the tremendous support home and away that probably means our thoughts and opinions dont deserve to be dissed in this way.

    Chris Siddall I salute you.............an Irish School teacher and part time bigot.

    **** me. Our fans have been ****e??? What utter utter bollocks.
    God it grips my **** when I hear horse **** like that. 40,000 plus paying fans every other week? Regularly the sixth highest attendance in England? When was the last time our team finished sixth?
    I dont bloody care if people pay and boo for ninety minuets. The fact is they pay. It's not up to fans to raise the mercenary's on the bloody pitch. It's up to them highly paid twats to get a backbone, show some gonads and raise the fans.
    Jesus. The total dross Sunderland fans put up with and we are ****e. And that's from a Mackem.
    I bloody despair.

    Wasn't Hull 2 times oversubscribed and sold out immediately?

    ****ers like that should be asked to repeat their claims in the Fort before the derby.

    I'm travelling 1000 miles on Saturday, driving up at 6am on Sunday from Mansfield and then driving back to Nice, I won't get home until Thursday .......... what a ****ing ****er.

    Yes it's the fans fault due to our expectations being too high, nowt to do with the players being **** or the managers not having a Scooby ****ing doo or an owner who won't spend Christmas. Why not though we've all blamed everyone else for our woes why not have a pop at the fans? the same fans who turn up week in week out home and away, the same fans who have a commitment to the club that some of the big clubs would love.
    This tool needs to give himself a shake or get off the drink or pipe or whatever it is he is using, as fans we might think we have some sort of say in the club we don't, we might think we can influence games for the vast majority of them we can't, all we can do is turn up and support the team as best we can.
    Agreed with your initial assessment mind definite nag or possibly nag biased journo.

    There are moves by Manure to open a safe standing area in Old trafford.

    If we got one, thats where my season ticket would be.

    40,000 plus crowds are great, but that doesn't hide the fact that we have to the quietest fans in the premiership by far at the moment, and it bloody breaks my heart to say it..The team need all the help they can get, but only a tiny percentage of our crowd make any effort to get behind the team..

    If you turn up for games, why the hell not let your hair down and enjoy it...We have been a lot worse than this in the past, but fans would still bloody sing..

    So you pay to see a comedian. Is it your job to laugh when he's not funny? Or is it his JOB to make you laugh?

    Isn't that why people go?

    Some of the supporters best 'performances' have been in the direst of circumstances ........ makes me quite nostalgic.

    Man Utd when we needed not to win so we'd be relegated at Old Trafford rather than at home to Newcastle the following week.

    We sold out our allocation and outsang United, for most of the game, despite them needing a win to have a chance of the title.

    We were magnificent!

    The difference being that you are not affiliated to the comedian, and if you can compare watching a comedian or flying airlines to supporting the lads, then you have a totally different idea of what supporting SAFC means than I do..

    What a load of old tripe !! And from a Sun'lund fan anarl !!

    What shall I do to lift the spirits of my fellow SAFC brethren? I know I shall slate them off in public, and rally them all around with this single tar covered brush !! <doh>

    Well for your info Chris, Managers (incl Caretakers) on or since 1 Jan 2000 (13yrs) :

    SAFC = 13 avg=1yr
    Chelsea = 13
    West Ham = 13
    WBA = 12
    Spurs = 11
    The Mags = 8
    Man Citeh = 8 avg= 1yr 7mths

    So maybe all their fans need to have a good look at themselves too eh ?? Get a grip man !! We have the 6th best average attendance of 42,000 plus ....... who only turn up to drink beer, slag everybody off, ignore the (lack of) football on the pitch, whilst searching for solace in our bandwagons !!! FFS sheesh !!

    Maybe he's right everyone? Maybe we leave the Team, the Manager and all the others that we help pay the wages of............... and just slag off the 'part-time writer' full time sports fan, and much travelled.........now Dubliner ......... Chris feckin Siddell :emoticon-0172-mooni

    Liverpool when they weren't even trying and playing at half pace as they knew we would be relegated if we lost.
    The crowd was immense, noise levels it would be hard to surpass.
    None stop singing and chanting and I mean none stop, when we saw what the Pool were doing it was like a huge party.
    Then as if they had no option but to do it, Liverpool scored looked embarrassed about it and from singing my lungs out I went to totally numb and in shock.
    That was and always will be my worst ever memory.
    Nowt to do with the fans all down to the players, but the dickhead author won't agree.

    So there we have it. No matter how much crap we get dealt up we must sing and show the World our love.
    Sounds like North Korea to me. I don't want to live in North Korea.
    If you think 40,000 turning up at the SOL is ****, so be it. I think SAFC should think of themselves bloody lucky to have the best fans in England supporting them.
