Midfielder pens loan deal with League One pacesetters

R’S YOUNGSTER Frankie Sutherland has joined League One high-fliers Leyton Orient on loan.

The 19 year-old midfielder has penned a one month deal with Russell Slade’s men, who – along with QPR – are the only unbeaten club in the Football League.

Sutherland, who has represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-21 level, could be in line to make his O’s debut against Coventry City tomorrow (Tuesday) night

Good move for FS. Playing with a confident side in strongly competitive matches can only be good for him.

Great news. Should be a good move for him, and us.

I don't really see the point in loaning him for one month unless Orient just have a bad injury list. If it was 3 months minimum, I could see the benefit to him in terms of his development. No matter how he plays for Orient during the month, I can't see him forcing his way into our squad when he returns. If he had a good run of games in L1 and impressed (Like Townsend did for us), he may come back a better more confident player and force his way into our first team squad.

    Good luck to him.

Personally would have chucked him on to hassle and track back on Saturday over Jenas. Good luck to him and hope he breaks into our team eventually.
