So let me get this straight. The midfielder of a team that was 1 man up for around 50 mins of the game, and couldn't win, gets in on the fact he scored a penalty. While the midfielder of a team that was 1 man down for around 50 mins of the game, and very well could have won, misses out despite scoring a cracker.

If Crooks had half a brain he'd be dangerous.

He had to find a way to mention his 100th Premier League goal didn't he?

Thought Gerrard had a very good game but in no way was team of team of the week material. I thought Tiote was very good for us but the likes of Paulinho, any of the Southampton midfield, would have been good picks. Crooks is not the best judge and I wonder if he now plays up to the comedic nature of selections now.

You could have scored that one.

At the risk of seeming obtuse, is this really a new topic of conversation? I thought it was well established that Garth was the very epitome of media-spun sycophantic hyperbole. Or a tw@t, whichever you prefer.

Crooks is bloody awful, how he has maintained a media career is beyond me, makes me want to chuck sharp things at the TV.

Don't know if anybody picked up on this but when he is justifying Nathaniel Clyne's place he mentions that instead of adnan januzaj possibly playing for England, that clyne be given a chance. Despite JAnuzaj being an attacking midfielder and clyne being a right back... jesus wept.

Crooks comes across as being really arrogant, if he was my boss I would deck him, then run for it

Hatem I think it's about time Gary Ballance got a chance as RB in the England team as he's had a great season for Yorkshire. Crooks and I are both glad he's been called up to the squad.
