Never took to this larker when he was with us.

A Ternent man if I remember.

 

Don’t remember much about him for us or him signing – he seemed to just appear near the start of the season. A right back, think Terno actually paid about 50k for him from Swindon - the season we went down – he spent a lot that season.

I do remember he had a rep as a decent second tier right back at the time.

Doleworth got rid, probably on a free, don’t remember who to.

 

Don't think Hockers ever really bought into the HU ethos.

Or am I confusing him with David Norton?

 

David Norton was City through and through and liked Hull.

 

No-No-No Norton who ****ed off to Northampton? Norton deffo had some decent games.

 

He sacked us off though, pre Bosman (tribunal setting fee) for a ****ter team.

 

Or was it Bamber who commuted from Bpool (another Ternent connection) and never 'settled.'

 

Could well be. Had the misfortune of attending both those night matches at Blackpool: 5-1 and 6-2. Bamber scored in both I think.

 

I attended a night game in the mid 80s at Walsall when he scored for them against us.

Always prolific......until he came here.
