To be honest, with an attitude like that I think you'd be no loss. But I know full well it's nowt but an empty threat and a boring threat to boot.
Some people will say anything if they think it makes them look better than other people. I just support the club in whatever shape it happens to be at the time ....... supporting a club when it suits isn't really support is it?
Most of my life time we have always been **** but I will always go to the home games. just the way it is.
Some of them are mutineers as well. Too many foreign players I am afraid, and selling Mignolet was a disgrace, get Diakite, Ki, Cabral, Mavras, Brown, Cloback and the other new signing in, play Larrson, O Shea, Karlsson, Bardsley etc at Hull, but bring all the best players back for the Soton game.
Some people seem to want to take it as a personal insult if the club don't do what they demand. I think it's just pot luck ........ Portsmouth took a chance, won the cup and played in Europe. We envied them at the time but wouldn't swap places now.
If well I say if we get relegate its the end for sure.come on all the sky money we loose will not help
We were well rid of Johnson Thought he'd made it when he came to City and billy big bollocks was the outcome, never out of the wine bars Couldn't wait to get rid
It wont be the end Vince. Just another day in the life of a Sunderland supporter. Will I like it? Nope, but I will still follow the lads. Don't forget the parachute payments, 60 million isn't it? 60 million for our net recent outlay of 1 million. For 60 million I think I could assemble a very good Championship winning side from scratch. I would have an even easier job here at Sunderland as the majority of our players are Championship quality.
We spent £12m on him and will certainly not recoup that (half of it!) I can;t work out what to do with him - he has quality which I've seen before he came here and also on rare occasions since but he just isn't showing any of it ATM. Maybe a spell on the bench would suit him!
Yeah I thought that too - but IF we get this money for staying up and that money if we get relegated, we stayed up last season and spent only £1m nett so why have we not invested the £80m (ish) we got for staying up? I'm struggling to work that out
Possibly but that still doesn't make sense. If we have "nett Spent" £1m then how can the wage bill have changed that much? Wages are the "bread and Butter" and are not included in the FFP in the way that transfers are (i.e. your wages must not increase by more than so much percet of their current amount) The Sky Money is profit for the club which doesn;t need to be spent on wages as it's the clubs "other income" shich should cover that (operative word!)
Marcus, I'm not sure where the £80m comes from - I can't remember what the figure was we received from the new tv deal, but some could have gone to pay of Ellis' debt? A certain amount of the new TV money couldn't be spent on salaries - not sure what the rules are concerning what it can be spent on? Our outgoings on salaries are too high relative to turnover and FFP dictates that one or the other must change in line - which is wages in our case as we ain't gonna be turning over extra revenue under the current (****e footballing) circumstances. We have too may high earners who don't deliver on the field. It was reported that we spent more than the net £1m difference in transfers on signing on fees and the likes, rather than paying out on large salaries. fook knows...
I sat down one night and tried to make sense of all the numbers and rules and was cabbaged after 10 minutes of trying. Although not number blind, my brain just doesn't seem to be wired up for more than basic maths. Even when I have seen sensible posts explaining all the details I turn into Mr Gumby holding my head as the pain builds.
