Leicester City look set to miss out on goalkeeper Keiren Westwood. The Republic of Ireland international is a free agent this summer after his contract ran out at Coventry City. City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson had made the 26-year-old one of his main summer transfer targets. However, Everton and Sunderland have also been chasing Westwood, and sources in the north-east claim the Black Cats have virtually sealed a deal for the highly-rated stopper after opening talks last week.
May be the same for a number of our targets - the lure of the Premiership is significant. Think the only reason Westwood is rated so highly is because the rest of the chavs team was so poor (king an exception). Not worried about this as Sven has international contacts. The options banded about ie Ikeme and Lewis are simply not good enough. Am I the only one who thinks the most important signing for us this season is Ben Mee?
Yes.. Considering we'll need a goalscorer, goalkeeper rightback and left back because we don't have any of them. Yes Ben Mee was decent, but we have 3 Centre Halfs at the moment.
Hey ho, it's hardly a surprise is it - Oranges are not the only fruit, there are other keepers out there who will be happy to take our Baht - I only hope he gets first team action or I can see him regreting his decision
Looks even more unlikely as time goes by: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12874_6972778,00.html
