If One Direction do it, I'll finally lose faith in humanity.

Might be worth a quid on Gazza though...

Just re-release Three Lions or World In Motion ffs...

<laugh> Just had a proper read of that list.

Oasis/Beady Eye/High Flying Birds? Blur? David Bowie? Radiohead? Arctic Monkeys? Kasabian?

None of those are stupid enough to record an England WC song. Oasis certainly won't reform, if they did they certainly wouldn't start their reunion by making a WC song either.

Didn't Simply Red perform the official Euro 1996 tournament song, "We're in this together" which was blander than Dido on a particularly bland day and we had such FA bigwigs such as David Davies (former sports newsreader on BBC North West) saying how brilliant it was. Proving 2 things - number 1 they wouldn't know a tune if it leapt up and slapped them with £50 notes and - number 2 anyone can get a job at the FA

Can somebody start a petition saying we don't want One Direction or any other eye candy group doing the song and get it as a thread on every club's board. As someone else has said Do we really need a song?

And slightly OT if we get to the FA cup final - why do I see someone doing Eye Of The Tiger as our cup final song
