For the last eight matches the people of Sunderland have switched over from BBC en masse at half-past ten on a Saturday night to avoid another dose of Sunderland-lose-itis.

Tonight is no different and long may it continue

A mackem is driving to a home game in his car when he is pulled over by the old bill.

The old bill approach the mackem and state "do you know what speed you were doing sir"

"No" replied the mackem "come off it" said the officer, "You were doing 80mph in a 40mph zone"

"Ok, I know" said the mackem, "I'm late for the match and really have to get to the Stadium of ****e before 2.00". The officer looks at the mackem and says "you've got no chance mate, it's gone 2pm now and you're still five miles from the ground "The mackem turns to the officer and admits sobbingly "Ok, I lied, the truth is I'm that desperate, I'd do anything for 3 points"

They've had a great start to the season, one we couldn't have dared asked for. Lets hope that continues next week.

 

It's getting embarassing

 

I confess I'm now thinking "draw" after weeks of expecting defeat! Hard to predict and I never hang myself by getting too bold as far as derbies are concerned. Still doesn't stop me having a good laugh at the shambles they are this season. Worst 45mins by any club, and ours against Everton took some beating!!!!!

 

If we can get the first goal that really will throw a spanner in their works. Expect their fans to be loud and raucous as usual, Fletcher looks like being their biggest threat. I just have a sneaky feeling we will be too good for them this time.

 

We gotta hope that these players of ours look at it like "fck, I'm gonna kill this shower, cannot wait to strap me boots on".

I have this wee inkling - though the rum may have affected my thoughts - that we're gonna have a good time next match...

 

Hoping so very much.

 

All about belief. We're miles away in terms of quality. And I think Pardew's finally getting it.

 

Hope we can instil the same mindset as the Liverpool game, the team owe us this one too

 

The good thing is we will have revenge in our minds. I might worry about the game after if we do well, a kinda of "after the Lord Mayors show", but they will not have forgotten last season's horror show at home. No better place and time to right the wrong. The 1st goal will be crucial, we score and they'll possibly crumble.

 

Still wouldn't mind Fletcher if they go down
