I must admit I prefer flat for more of a guarantee with big price runners and someone has to put a bit of pressure on you in the comp your style will probrably get the monthly prize my ew style doesn't suit the rules but when they land they land in style
In too much of a rush to create a thread but I am getting on and advise everyone likewise, HIGHRATE 3.50 Kempton tomorrow. Coral are a "standout" 11-2. I will also be on CAP ELORN again tomorrow. Boy has he climbed the ratings since we first put him up but can win AGAIN! PS; the 2014 Champion Hurdler is running tomorrow!
Your three (including The New One) with Our Conor over in Ireland tomorrow is surely easy money for us all
Bit annoyed that The New One runs against Rock On Ruby (needed the run this time last year) and therefore his Champion Hurdle price might take a hit. Was hoping he might get unstuck on flat tracks against My Tent Or Yours and that he'd go double figures
Hello lads and RV!...hows it goin' stranger? On the links today so wasn't involved in what was imo opinion a complete non event, albeit with plenty of Qatari Quipco Qash. Not surprised DA was beaten...yet again.I'm afraid he was a precocious 2-y-o who won a poor 2000 and his peers have simply caught up. What has been disappointing is the continual excuses and hype, more of it post race today,by the normally erudite Bolger. He reputation has been compromised by his involvement with Godolphin and the ridiculous sound bites uttered...when you lie with dogs.... Super performance from Farhh in the CS although the form looks weak.He pulled the whole way and still had enough to hold on..lets just hope it wasn't a victory gleaned from a regime of steroid intake, something that the BHA would turn a blind eye to in any case if their past handling of the Dubai cheats is any kind of barometer. Well done Cats and Stick on the winners...top work as always lads. Decent nursery at Naas tmz with the top weight rated 101...off for a study after I burn my golf clubs...
2/11 and 1/7 shots turned over today...bad day for some short players not to mention the manu capitulation acting like a wrecking ball through the football accy fraternity...On reflection there is great financial insulation on the old links...better throw some water on my sticks...
Evening RV and Dex Best horse today Kings Palace by a ****ing country mile in the opener at Cheltenham - reminded me alot of the beautiful and talented Brindisi Breeze RIP - pinged every hurdle, travelled like a dream and ran them into the ground. Got a bit lonely coming up the hill but the race was well over by then. First festival marker for me - Albert Bartlett
Haven't got round to that one yet Oddy but he beat a decent field and sets the early season staying benchmark. I remember him winning a bumper easily FTO at Plumpton and thought he was smallish and lacked scope...proved wrong...again!...still be surprised if he jumped a fence though!
Took his hurdles low and fast Dex (and I thought he was incredibly fluent for a novice on hurdling debut) was bought to go chasing though according to connections
In commentary they said he was weakening odddy but like you I just think he idled a bit up the hill and showed a bit of greenness. I think he is a lovely horse and can see him winning some decent races this season.
