I am sure if Blackburn were lofting long balls into our area CP would be tempted to do that, but Rhodes and Campbell are not that sort.

Somehow there will be 6 minutes of added time.

    Yann is playing centre half.

There were - "So proud - matched them all game, lovely touch from Church for the goal, rode our luck at times but we got there. Wood tremendous but didn't look good after he went down. Yann slotted in at the back like he'd played there all his life."

Sorry for my typo earlier. I meant "you lot are justificably optimistic". :)

Great result for the best manager outside the Premiership and his trusty assistant, and reasons to be cheerful with Kermorgant and Jackson on their way back.

Interesting that Pigott and Harriott were not even on the bench today. Perhaps CP is finally doing what he always said he would and giving them some downtime to recharge and relearn.

As expected away from home to a top half team, but this was by no means a "backs to the wall" performance. We equalled their shots, and shots on target, and missed some good chances ourselves.

Powell out. Really good result for us. We never seem to do that well in the North West and this result was needed to keep our head above water. That non scorer Simon Church popped up with the winner and his fourth of the season.Great to keep a clean sheet again and Wood has made a big difference in the middle of the defence.

Our midfield seems to have been revitalised by bringing in Cousins, and moving Stephens to the left.

I've resisted saying 'Operation Ewood' for the whole of the International Break and I'm glad it has paid off.

A very very important win. A loss today after 2 home draws would have been a serious blow to morale, but now we're 3 without defeat, which sounds better.
