I agree. One moment of pure class from Arsenal but aside from that I think we've done reasonably well. Some nice moments of tidy build up play from our boys too.
Apart from almost latching on to an underhit Sagna backpass, Hooper has been feeding on mere scraps. He must know how RvW feels most match days.
We are looking much more fluid - if we can play like this against the 'lesser' teams we will definitely be OK this season. I just hope we can hang on to Fer because he is special. I feel the performance up front shows just how good the Wolf's movement is. Hooper is OK but he is nowhere near as intelligent as RvW. Great goal. Why does this happen to us and not to the other teams down the bottom? Also a great save by Ruddy. He's looking more like his old self.
There goal was a great team effort. Hope we come out in the 2nd half how we finished off the 1st half, still a bit worried Arsenal will get a second goal killing us off.
and out of the blue That'll be the press getting erections for the rest of the week as they wax lyrically about bloody Ozil
Tell you what, I am really pleased to see us going for it and not playing at damage limitation. With any luck we can get a goal back and then see what happens...
Interesting to see Wes come on, wonder if he is going to play near Hooper and give him some help up front?
