He was never good enough for Swansea. Always thought it was a strange signing. He's probably still living off that one great performance in his career for Charlton when he scored a hat trick against Liverpool!
Scored more goals at PL level than any other striker we had at the time we signed him, and always did a decent enough job when called upon. Sadly he was never popular with the fans so we get the usual bile on departure. Would have been a better option up front last season than Shechter, that's for sure.
I had never liked his attitude. He is 27 years old, and has missed a massive chunk of playing time in some of the best years of his career. Should have left some time ago. Waste of money I think.
