Think he will score on saturday

    Due some good performances

Gotta think coming from Man City - a team where there is flair all around, world class players who are moving around for you giving you options etc
as opposed to Sunderland - Theres the ball son, do something…little flair, little movement etc

Was always going to be difficult for him

I was really excited about the Johnson signing but I do feel he's been a big let down.

Think I,m of same opinion as most, He,s no worse than Flo but don,t think he,s impressed consistently at all, time is running out for him if he wants a squad place with England

He plays for Sunderland - you are simply not allowed to play for England when you play for Sunderland. The FA forbid it (Kevin Phillips, Darren Bent etc.)...

Johnno has some undoubted quality and I have seen it - not enough of it but anyone who has watched us since he signed has to have seen bits of it. Some of the passes he has played have shown tremendous vision - but not consistently - he certainly hasn't been as much of a let down as Flo (who, relatively speaking, wasn't far off the same price when you think of how much Sky money was around 10 years ago!)

I'm not saying he has been a revelation marra.. The thread asked if he was a 'bigger flop than Flo'

That has got to be a NO surely?

AJ gave us more excitement in this 1 min video than Tore did in his 33 appearances... In my opinion !

no substance to your argument about him playing for england, its got nothing to about sniping i pay my money and i have an opinion , i cannot find anything in his game since hes been with us to suggest he will play for england again, look at who didnt play tuesday night who are in the wings waiting ,i just cannot see it happening, if it does it will mean he has turned his game around 100% which can only mean we have got the player we pay and paid a lot of money for, lets hope it happens but as sure as eggs are eggs it has not happened yet.

I see you have edited my post to suit your feeble come back. AJ DID play for England...FACT!!! wether he plays again or not is not relevant..what is relavant, it is Poyets job to get the lads confidence and Form back to where it was when he did play for his country. If Hodgson picks him great..if he doesn't then hard lines, but we have a player who was once (not that long ago) a very sought after player. Its blindingly obvious that regardless whatever the lad does you will not like him and will take every opportunity to air "your opinion"

wether relavant, ? anyway flanders dear boy i hope you are right , in the mean time to achieve the recall it will mean he regains some form which can only be good for safc.
    please dont hold your breath

I have it on good authority as I work in the hospitality industry that Johnson is often in the Boro with his mates ordering 100 jagerbombs at a time!!!

I think we just massively over paid for him, if we bought him for £5M nobody would be even saying anything, his price tag has brought him in for a lot of criticism but that wasnt his fault and his attitude has been spot on since he joined, he is definitely a SAFC lad now.

Basically we have found out the hard way that he is not a £10M player, but in his defense I am not sure Van Persie would look good in our team, we are shocking ATM.

And still contributed more than Johnson. However, hopefully he and vaughan can shock us like they did in April but it was really sessengon who ran the show that day and hes gone now so maybe step forward lee cattermole your time has come

Erm, no is the honest answer. Flo is just about the biggest flop Sunderland have had. Johnson is a good player for us and he is getting better. It's much easier to play in a side that dominates.

Not sure how you can possibly know the future Stu - I agree I don't think he'll go even if he starts playing amazingly well for us and has a stormer of a season and scores 10 and sets up 20 - he STILL won;t go - he plays for Sunderland.

On ability, if Ashley Young goes then Adam Johnson should be going - he';s actually looked better than Young this season! He HAS the ability but he's playing in a poor team - does anyone honestly believe that we could play Aguero up front in our side and he would look the same player he does at City?? I certainly don't - the players around him make the difference and the confidence - If we get a couple of wins under our belt and get Johnno involved in creating stuff then he will be an asset

Johnson does create stuff he loses possession by running straight into opposing full back and setting up counter attacks.
