Surely, by the precedents they've set, the FA MUST set up an 'independent' panel?

    http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...-manager-linked-with-racial-slur-8885841.html

Where is Piarra Powar? Where is Paul McGrath? Clark Carlisle? Gordon Taylor? Martin Samuel? James Lawton? Jason Roberts? Rio X?
Matin LutherFerguson? Can't believe Goulding, the ubiquitous FA house brief, will turn down another opportunity to earn a few hundred thousand dishonest sovs.

Might it not be as popular, sell as many papers and get your face on telly to launch a witchhunt and a kangaroo court against a man who's just led the country to the WC finals?

Perhaps they'll put it on the back-burner until next July? :emoticon-0112-wonde

  2. Roy Hodgson's made a massive error with this monkey joke thing. His apology should have read "Oh **** off, are you serious? Seriously? **** off mate. No comment. Just get ****ed, you absolute apron."

    You need to chill out.

You are blowing this out of all proportion mate. Hodgson is not a racist and this was not racist joke. FFS you are obsessed. You see racism where there is none. Why should people hound him like you suggest?

Aparenty nigrito isn't a racist term in spanish, but it does refer to race. Monkey is a racist term but depends on the context! Using it when taking about a black player is treading a thin line, still no Ron Atkinson though!

Roy Hodgson meant no offence and the players took no offense. No big deal.

All this is is the press twisting things.

  11. This just highlights that the British media is the biggest culprit when it comes to racism

The leak stinks of a bitter, small minded, self absorbed, ****wit....errrmm

Smalling goes back to United yesterday, tells 'Black Power' Rio who sees an opportunity to stick the boot into Hodgson & takes it.....

You may have a point there.

Something so trivial being blown out of all proportion...Howver, it does no one any good to even try to compare these with Suarez or Terry. At the risk of getting Donga to come charging on his high horse (which i am sure NO ONE even the most ardent Liverpool fan does NOT want), Hodgson's joke had nothing to do with race whilst the ones I mentioned earlier had.

The thread is donga at his sarcastic best - can't you see that? No horse of any type involved, especially not a high one.

I question why the word monkey is always taken as being racist! So nobody can ever say the word in any context when in close proximity to a black person - ridiculous.

The monkey gestures are something else - they are meant to be offensive. Ask the 56 year old who did it at Anfield!

I don't. But the FA have set the bar at a height that even Jesus couldn't limbo under. They can't go after celebrity scalps then ignore the same thing in their own back yard. I am chilled, I just want to the FA implode under the weight of its own contradictions.

It's as ridiculous as most things Kick it out start ****e over.

You are not allowed to say Monkey if a black person is within 5 miles of you, in any context. <doh>

Investigation<doh> KIO are proving their uselessness, this is why black players are not impressed because KIO focus on points scoring and stuff like this while real racism goes unpunished.

Absolutely. As long as I have known, bouncers have been referred to as gorillas. We even call the ones in the gym it to their face (if they're not too pumped up on smarties....). a girl calls a black 'doorman' a gorilla on Big Brother. the ****ing world comes down on her from the press and C4. If we going to have this ****ing nonsense, at least be consistent. as said, the FA set the bar and now must apply the same yardstick to itself. Hey, perhaps it may lower its 99.9995% guilt rate of jumped up cases brought to its kangaroo court? Maybe they'll give Goulding a backhander to come up with a not guilty verdict this time. God knows, he may even arrive at it 'independently'....

What's for sure is that there's enough prima facie to launch an investigation. There's as much as they had on Clattenburg. How fabulously embarrassing that would be. Perhaps Roy, having now taking the team to qualification would be in a position to force the resignation of senior heads of the FA for calling an investigation. And maybe the professional race stirrers will be able to call for resignations if they don't. Sweet.

The chimpanzees were called Ham and Enos, btw, and Alan Shepard would have willingly strangled them both with his bare hands as NASA's insistence on sending them up first meant he missed out on being the first man in space to Gagarin by a month.
