The chap turned us round when Brian Little and Janet Molby had failed, and led us onto the Long and Winding Road to enlightenment. (But have his results have been suspiciously average without Junior Lewis to help him?)
But it's been a steady decline since leaving for Palace. Much like Phil Brown, I think we make managers ****.
Did you attend that game at Bootham Krip Krap Krescent in 2002? Little's Waterloo. Sneeeekes and co bottled it on a gluepot pitch AP unimpressed with the lack of spunk in our ranks.
I thought I remembered him being gone by 2002 so looked on wiki From Brian Little's wiki "By February 2002 Hull City looked well on course for automatic promotion from Division Three. But Little unexpectedly announced his resignation from the club,[7] and under his successor Jan Mølby, the club's fortunes slipped dramatically and they could not even finish high enough for a play-off place." My memory is odd and generally unreliable, but I recall him spending **** loads of money (relatively) and getting sacked after a decent start that season (and play offs year before)
I liked Taylor at the time, and Little. I had high hopes for Parky who I felt seemed out of his depth but came with great promise. Funny how you remember previous managers I guess. Good luck to Taylor, always seemed a nice bloke to me.
Although he left us in acrimonious circumstances, for him, the chance to go to back to Palace - who were rightly at the time a "bigger" club, I can't really blame him. He played a BIG role in getting us to where we are. Good luck to him.
He always seems to do well in Leagues 1 and 2. I think he got Gillingham and Southend promoted before he came to us and got us back to back promotions. When he gets to Championship level he struggles
Adam Pearson, Peter Taylor and the KC. The triumvirate that proved to be the turning point in our Club's fortunes. So, a respected 'nod' to him.
According to a disgruntled former employee who worked along side him, he was a right royal ****. Probably a bit biased, but he did lay the foundations for our climb to the top.
