    Steve Gibson would be a big improvement on what they have. It would be the death knell for 'boro though.

    So you're telling me you wouldn't take them? Neil Taylor (a.k.a. the next James Perch)...........or 2 players who've played for over 10 years at Man Utd and won countless titles and cups between them?

    Lads we have just one player over 30. We will be signing around 9 players this summer and if those three are part of the 9 then I'm very happy with that. We need to build a squad and these players will help us do that. I think most sides in the prem would take them. The two defenders are solid and would give us strength in depth. I like the look of Gibson too. He's still developing and hasn't looked all that bad for the champions of the premiership. I'd take them all and £12million is all that bad for the experience they'd give us.

    And besides......is this really Newcastle Utd football club laughing at us for paying over the odds for players?? You might want to look back a recent years haha Luque, Xisco, Owen etc the list could go on!

    Wes Brown - Can't get a game, injury prone.
    John O'Shea - Utd's James Perch
    Darren Gibson - More suited to being a fly half than a central midfielder, Shoots over the bar 9/10, long passes end up going out for a throw

    I have to admit i was worried on how Sunderland would strengthen their side, but now with Ngog, Gibson, Brown and O'Shea......i'll be sleeping fine tonight
