    I really hope Baines continues to play in the finals ahead of Cole. He's just as good defensively but offers so much more going forward, plus will be the LB for the next 3 or 4 years. Done nothing wrong to justify losing his place.

    Sturridge should have done better.

    Him and Welbeck have been poor in front of goal, but the build up has been good.

    What defending? Poland can't string 5 passes together.

    dont get me wrong I rate Baines and prefer him to Cole but Poland once took advantage of baines going forward and should have scored, it's a very easy night for the lad so far

    Best players are Baines and Townsend by a mile.

    Sturridge, Wellbeck, and Carrick are playing like crap though.

    I think Hodgson is trying to overload their defense, and it's working. Well done to him for picking a tactic that gets us chances.

    Definitely. He offers as good defensively and offers much more offensively.

    Hopefully Roy doesn't return to Cole like McLaren and Cappello would.

    To be fair to Roy he has made some good calls and has got us playing more positively than I've seen us for...well, literally about 8 years.

    Those 8 years haven't been good viewing <laugh>
