Sone Aluko has won the Match Magazine Goal of the Month award for September.

The striker’s stunning volley against Newcastle United was voted as the best of the month by the magazine’s editors.

Aluko was presented with a framed memento of his goal at Hull City’s training ground last week.

Obviously John Hartson wasn't on the panel! A well deserved award for Aluko after being robbed of the MOTD award

Well deserved. It was a heck of a goal. The reason why I think it should have done better elsewhere is because you rarely see volleys outside the box from inside the foot.

It may sound stupid but freekicks like Baines happen quite regularly now, a lot of players can score them and blasts like mutch also are quite common and more luck than anything.

For me it was between aluko and amalfitano.

Robbed he was but then again it was a ****ing welsh twat that picked it so he was bound to go for Cardiff. IMO the Cardiff goal shouldn't even of been in the running.
