If we apologise for Edward will you support England? /it is Edward isn't it? Always an Edward that upset our neighbours. Don't ever trust an edward if you're Celtic.
Stone throwing Used to play GAA years ago. Hurling back in my day the Hurling sticks had metal bands on the end and there was no headgear. No thanks! I distinctly remember some of those metal bands hanging off as well, dangerous ****. #man'ssport
Hopefully Poland win because I am not a big fan of the English national team and also because it means a lot of our players will have a summer off as they all have a good chance of going if England qualify (Sturridge, Suarez, Henderson, Sterling, Gerrard, Johnson etc) Don't think they will though as they just haven't got the team or ability to trouble England. And even if England did drop into the play off places they'd get Iceland or someone similar in the play offs anyway and go through easily.
I usually get excited about the world cup and would want England to win. I just get sick to my stomach thinking about if England won on Roy's watch (however unlikely). I just couldn't stand if history books announced that it was sir Roy's reign that ended the hurt and for him to be imortalised as some kind of national hero. Makes me almost want us to lose.
Is he? Trusting Edward, there's a movie title I reckon he might be, he was sheepish about the NSA's spying
It will be a tight game. 7-0 Gerrard scoring 4, Roy Hodgson the player manager banging in a diving header towards the end.
Poland fans will display a huge banner during tonightâs match against England, commemorating the fighter pilots who fought the Germans in the Battle of Britain. Two Polish fighter pilot units â squadrons 302 and 303 â flew alongside the British during the 1940 Battle of Britain, shooting down a total of 203 enemy aircraft between them. A total of 29 from 145 Polish fighter pilots died in the battle. Polish squadron 303 was actually the most successful of all the RAF units, taking down 126 German planes in 42 days. It was based at RAF Northolt in West London â just 7 miles away from Wembley Stadium. And, with Poland fans numbering at least 18,000 for the World Cup qualifier at Wembley, a huge tribute has been organised, with supporters holding aloft a giant 20m x 20m Polish airforce checkerboard logo (like the one above), which were printed on the side of their planes in the War. The organiser of the tribute is a charity called 'Hurricane of Hearts', which seeks to promote British-Polish relations and raise money for hospitals. Jake Smolarek, from the charity, told the BBC the tribute was "to show that we have got on well with British people for many many years". He added that the FA had been helpful while the group organised the banner. Polish fighter pilots are regarded as having been hugely important in the Battle of Britain, and have been commemorated by the RAF on a number of occasions. Many other squadrons fought with the British in World War II, with a total of around 19,000 Poles serving in the Polish Air Force in Britain and the RAF by the end of the War. -------- Nice touch
